I'm curious about this because I watched a special recently that had some statistics saying that a lot of conceptions make it to the embryo stage but still don't survive. I found this very sad, and was just wondering how large an embryo actually got before it was designated a fetus around 2 months. In inches or cm would be good.

According to all of my pregnancy books a emryo doesn't become a fetus until 10 weeks. At 8 weeks the baby is about the size of a pinto bean.
