as with any article of belief you must ask what are the implications to how I live today. Would I order bacon and eggs for breakfast or oatmeal if I knew I would be (or indeed had been) reincarnated? If it makes no difference to your behavior, your beliefs are immaterial.
As to knowing somebody in the next life...okay, I was going to say I think we're steam cleaned in the vestibule between lives but then I remembered that scene in Kundun where the prospective Dalai Lama is asked to identify articles that belonged to the prior Lama. Obviously somebody believes we keep something more tangible than 'conditioning' to the next life.
BTW, I believe in reincarnation and the only implication is to take away some death anxiety.

Christianity does not believe in reincarnation, but there are others that do and take it quite seriously. I see reincarnation as progression of the soul, live a good life you'll have a better one for you next life if not you'll have a worse one, but ultimeley no one knows for sure. Sounds like you may be thinking more along the lines of Cosmic destiny and love.
Things can change in a flash.

i do believe in reincarnation but not just from a stand point of being in love i think of just being borught back as a different person or in a different way. for some reason i feel sometimes that i am reincarnated from my grandmother. its really weird and most people including myself will think its stupid, but my mom just finds so many thing, sayings and ways of talking to her that i do that her mom used to do, and my grandmother passed away only a month or 2 after i was born. i dont believe it just because of that but also because i dont really know who i am, i also dont feel like the person i currently am, in this body and time is who i really am. i guess a lot of people feel that way but it could be something more than that. if you're really interessted in reincarnation you should rent the movie Down to Earth lol. its with chris rock and its really funny but its actually a really interessting way of looking at reincarnation that oddly enough i look at it too. lol sorry i babbled on so much its just that once u get me tsarted talking its hard to stop..

Yes I do. I know I've been here before. I have met people for the first time that I feel I've known in a previous life, forever....
Some in particular. Yes, I think so. If you love someone in this life, but don't get the chance for one reason or another to be in a relationship, then you may be able to see it through to the next life. That person is your soul mate.

well, there are many things one can believe in isn't there? reincarnation is just another one of the many. well reincarnation is different in other religions, so really there are many different interpretations, yet they all are similar in the sense that they all tend to involve some sort of rebirth, which would be the most common meaning of reincarnation. but its a broad topic and it could porbably go on for some time. but this is what Hinduism believes. Hinduism teaches that the soul goes on repeatedly being born and dying. One is reborn on account of desire: a person desires to be born because he or she wants to enjoy worldly pleasures, which can be enjoyed only through a body. i don't know what you belive but we all have the right to believe whatever we want! you can keep reading. just go to that link there! i hope you get your answer!

They say that we keep interacting with most of the same people each time around. Each of us is always a little different as hopefully we have learned something and made a little progress each time. Your father may be your daughter next time around and so on. So I would say all options are open each time.
But try this one on for size. . . Parallel universes. When there is someone I am wildly attracted to, yet it is not in the cards for us, in this existence I placate myself by thinking that in some parallel universe things have worked out in my favor. It passes the time and it's a fun little fantasy. I believe in giving myself what ever I want for the most part. Denying the self is not my thing.

My problem with reincarnation is simply this. The population doubles roughly every 35 years. I've seen it said that there are more people alive on earth today than all those who have ever been. So if reincarnation exists, where do all those souls come from?

No I don't believe in reincarnation. I'm not Hindu. I know a little Hindu man I did some work for and they certainly do believe in it. He has pictures of all their gods on his walls and every morning he goes from one picture to another praying to them. It takes him about an hour every morning. Some of the pictures are wild looking. One was a woman with eight arms and an elephants head with a woman's body. Whoa...

We are not these bodies, we are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul. We never die only the bodie dies. Our next life is determined by our Karma(reaction to our previous actions) and desire. This world is called Maya or Illusion and is not our home, it is temporary and full of misery. Only one fourth of the souls come to the material world. (the less intelligent ones) If one is intelligent they should aspire to go to the eternal abode which is full of bliss and knowledge and no one suffers there ever. The quickest and easiest way to get out of this suffering and illusion is to chant the Maha Mantra or the Great Mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion. Go to krishnaculture. for all details. This place is a bad deal
