It all depends on the players skill. There are also a lot of other variable factors that play in the distance of the ball off the tee like driver, ball, swing, weather, layouts of the course, etc. For me I hit about 340 yards on a good day. On average I mostly hit around 300-310 yards. You just need to figure out where you hit among the averages of most players, and compare yourself to those averages and not to the best drive you can find. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays...

Lt golf(leon) rarely ever gets it wrong! I played (in Billings Mt). yesterday and I drive the ball a lot further this time of year than in the summer months. That has a lot to do with the fairways being frozen with no snow on them.

Hello Curtis

Most weekend golfers will tell you they hit 300 yard drives, THEY DONT.

On average the weekend golfer will hit anywhere from 180 yds to 240 yrds. I would think 225 is a pretty good number. Of course if they hit off the fairway to where you cannot see the ball they will surely go down another 50 to 60 yards closer to the green to take their drop. :)
