If they aren't trying to get them to look like teen age boys, is it a coincidence?
Why don't they use models that look like real women, the kind with ample boobs and hips, and butts? Every man I've talked to, have never found super models appealing, but rather gag reflex grotesque.

My husband said the only thing appealing about a super model type, is her money! LOL I thought that was funny...thought I'd share.

As a gay man, I don't feel it's the designers, I think it's more that people design from what they know. I assume it's easier to find fabric for someone of certain proportions. I am not trying to sound sexist here. I think the designers are partially lazy and don't want to create patterns that fit more varied sizes. Lastly, a lot of these outfits on the runways are worn by the hollywood celebrities who have these non realistic idealized bodies. If the outfits were geared toward your everyday person, looks would change. There needs to be more women in Hollywood not giving in to the stereotypes as that is where it all lays, I feel.

I realize, I noticed this factor in which a man needs to prohibit Barbies from the USA. He thinks that they're too skinny and advertise consuming issues by means of giving little women strategies on being superb. Results got here in pronouncing the normal girl, being five'four, are much more likely to be sizes four-14s. It will get on my nerves how skinny and dull Barbies will also be. If a Barbie was once five'four, she might be rail-skinny with huge breast, curvy hips, and ideal plastic epidermis

They say that the cameras add about ten pounds to a woman's body. Therefore, they try to compensate by weighing less.
But you're right, I look at those arms that look like sticks and I wonder where the appeal is.

Well......two things
One, you have to consider that they choose the people to show the clothes....not on the basis on "pure physical" attraction.....That bald headed black lady never had trouble finding work on a runway, but I'm sure she did finding a man.
Much like how many of the clothes aren't meant to be actually worn to say.....A evening dinner....it's a art show for fashion(depending on the show, some are regular wear) from what I understand.
Two, someone sounds jealous!

Precisely. You answered your own question. In the Romanticism Era, they appreciated curvier women, but as time went on and the high prevalence of homosexual men in fashion has made the modeling industry change to fit their ideal of beauty.
