It's healthiest to lose no more than 1-2 pounds per week. You lost more than that, but I wouldn't worry too much. Just try to slow it down a bit, and make sure you're getting enough nutrients and not working out TOO much.

It does not seem to me you lost too much weight.
Look at yourself in the mirror. How do you look?
More importantly now that you're 174 how do you feel?
Chances are you feel GREAT, and the only reason you're asking this question is because you've develop an attitude of not really being able to enjoy your success.
You lost a lot of weight, and it should be something you celebrate. Now if you starved yourself to get there, that's a different story.
But if you ate well, and worked your butt off with sweat, then you're good my friend.

Actually your BMI is just about right so no you didn't lose too much. Two question How did you lose the weight, by not eating? If so that is bad because it can cause all kinds of problems with your heart, liver, kindeys, etc. Also were you trying to lose weight if not I would be worried. If you lost the weight by cutting out junk food and doing cadio and weight training then good for you. Just try to maintain the weight you have lost, and work out to build up muscles. Congrats!!!!

A safe amount of weight to loose per week is generally considered to be one pound. If you lost one pound per week over that amount of time you would have lost around 32 pounds, making you somewhere in the mid 190s. So, technically, yes you did loose too much weight in a small amount of time. However, as far as I know, seeing as 174 isn't like...an absurdly light weight, you shouldn't be in a health danger zone. The problem with loosing so much weight in a short amount of time is that instead of loosing fat, which is lost slowly and over time, your body's lean muscle is broken down. Resulting in the loss of muscle tone, so although you probably aren't in at any risks, you may have been more efficient in your wieght loss had you done it over a short amount of time.

I think the rate of your weight loss is fine. I mean six months is not that short for what you lost. Since you were heavier before it was simply just easier for you to lose weight in that span of time. As long you did not lose your weight by reducing your food intake which should be around 1500 cal/day. you are fine. Just make sure you maintain a good lifestyle by eating healthy foods (unsaturated foods) and exercising regularly. Good luck.

If your were trying to lose weight probably not, but if you dropped it for no apparent reason then there could be a health issue as to why you lost that much. Like Diabetes

it depends what sort of weight it was. If it was fat weight then there are some small side effects obviously, and you should be monitored by a doctor when loosing that much fat weight, but if it's muscle weight... then the only problem you'd got is your loss of... muscle! lol.
