I've always had exzema, but not a very serious case of it. Just recently (within a few years) I've developed it quite seriously on my scalp. It really is gross because it does just appear to be a very big problem with dandruff. I've been to a doctor who pretty much told me there was nothing I can do for it, but it really does bother me. It's always itching and just looks horrid. Does anyone have any home remedies they can suggest. Thanks a ton.

Try using a very fine tooth comb (like a baby comb after youve already gotten the tangles out with a brush) to loosen it after your head is wet from a hot shower. This works excellent for cradle cap which is basically the same thing on babies. Some people use baby oil to moisten it up but I dont know if thats a great option for someone with a full head of hair.

Also start using some shampoo like Denorex (sp?) or Head & shoulders.
