Seems to make for rather shallow responses that I could get from one of those "magic answer" toys.

Yes, I think there has to be more to it, The yes, no and wait thing is just made up by men because often the answer isn't yes. There must be other things God wants to teach us or have us keep seeking Him for reasons that we just can't comprehend.

When you boil it all down all answers are covered in your magic answer.

It does not matter what is said or how it is said the simplest truth is just that.

Sometimes when God answers a prayer he also adds a but. Look to John's daddy. Because he doubted he remained silent till he wrote "the boys name shall be John." In Job God asked more questions of Job and never really answered his questions.
When we ask for a sick person to get better and they die you could see it as a no or a yes to ultimate healing.

Prayer is a very difficult thing to grasp at times and can be a stumbling block for the believer even more so than the unbeliever.

Now after reading this did I tell you ...YNW?

I don't think "rather shallow" quite covers it. God has never even used the words "Yes","No",or "Wait" in response to a prayer. The one and only response ever given by God to any prayer is

Right - better ask again later...

No. I think prayer works like this - what ever you are thinking about most, they send. If you keep your mind focused on what it is that you want - you are golden. That means saying things like "I feel great!", "I love a prosperous lifestyle", or "I am always lucky in love." If you are dwelling upon hurts, illness or lack they just think the course is too easy for us and they send more. That means saying things like "I can't afford that!", "I will never find the right person for me", or "I am always so tired, why am I always so tired, I can't, I am just too tired".

Thoughts become things - pick the good ones I say. What works best is prayer that involved visualization and intention. Get a real picture in your mind of what you want - try to feel how it will feel to have what you want. Couple that with consciously monitoring and changing your thoughts to suit your desired outcome. These are the steps to get not only what you asked for, but your fondest dream 10 fold (so easy and costs nothing!)

Peace!

Depends on how good you are:

If everyone prayed to God to be the richest in the world (all sure will) then money will be useless and goods will be very expensive sense everyone have money and they all need the same thing..food.

If you pray to go to Hawai for the weekend and God answers "Yes" then sure if the plane carrying you crashed, sure you will ask him why did you say "Yes"? Couldn't You have said "No" to me and save my soul?

If you pray to go to Hawai and God said "No" to save you sense the boat you destined to take a tour in could drwon and you end up blue flat on your face in the middle of the sea. If God said "No" you would ask why say "No" to me? Am I the most bad guy you have ever created?". Sure you won't know what is waiting for your and didn't happen to you if it didn't happen.

If God said wait, then sure for the better of you. It is just we don't know that is why we ask such painful questions! Our brain is the reason of our suffer not the acts of God. It is that we are hasty, narrow minded, and never thankful to Him.

Father God deals with each individual as that person will allow. If someone only expects yes,no or wait, that is what they get. If you want details then ask for them. Father God will not disappoint an obedient child. He never has.

Anyone who professes to speak for the Lord certainly does not know Him. Asking what God's answers to prayer are is like me telling you I know exactly what you are thinking all the time. Kinda silly isn't it?

Actually sometimes God might be giggling and thinking how adorable you are (like when you asked this) God ofcourse works in mysterious ways, sometimes you'll get your answer not directly from Him, but He might have many people tell you something that will ring a bell in your head, as in...oh ok I guess that's the answer...! God isn't human (duh) so His answers are alittle difficult to comprehend sometimes...but he always answers... just listen carefully to what He might be trying to tell you, and also be patient and sensitive towards Him!
