Will I Gain Weight If I use Birth Control?

okay my dermo wants me to use birth control for my acne but i want to know if i will gain wieght. i model so i am kinda worried. if i do gain, how much woul dit be and would i be able to lose it easy. i mean if it is like 5 pounds i am fine wit it

i am 5'5 and weigh 125 cause i am a dancer and i am very muscluar. so if i can lose the wieght fast i dont care

that is a possible side effect, but not in a major way. millions of women and girls are on birth control, and they're not overweight because of it. just make sure you keep up with a healthy diet and exercise

it depends on which form of birth control you use. I am on the patch and i gained weight but it was all in my breasts (weird I know) but no where else. My roommate is on the pill and she's still a bean pole. Your gyno would be able to help alot more with this but if you eat right (and i bet you do cuz you're a model) so i don't think you need to worry.

everyone is different, I did not gain and a lot of gals I know did. but what would be better a few pounds for modeling or acne. My guess if you are modeling being over weight is no where near the pounds you might gain

Dont take the pill my sis used it and she was 125 two months later she weighs 165 now trust me u dont want it
i would get proactive hey it worked for me!

I lost 15 lbs. but you can't judge your body's response to the hormones against another woman's experience. It's completely relative to your body, and the type of pill you take. It also cleared up my acne like magic.

I did. I know that's not what you want to hear but I did. It wasn't much but I am 5'3" and so 5 lbs shows up on me. There are differnent kinds. The one I was on caused water retention.

yes you will gain alot of weight on a birth control pill it will probably cost you your modeling career would not do it
