i'm looking to a tuner car in the early spring. something cheap to work on, possibly a new motor, etc. i don't want to spend a whole lot of money (less than 4k) but i also don't want a piece of junk with tons of body rust. Any suggestions?

the nice thing about tuner type cars are that anything is welcome karl is right about small block chevy's they do give the most bang for your hard earned dollar, however anything from a kia to a volvo can be made into a respectable rocket if you have the time and skills. if you live in a rust belt area it may be in your best interest to look for what you want in a more southern region and have a dealer look at the prospective car before you purchase it. it would be better to know if it is a clapped out crapbox before you purchase it or try to drive it home. what ever you buy be sure that you can afford to make it the way you want and that you have a suitable place to work on it good luck and have fun.

How a lot do you may want to spend? i'd opt for any sort of Honda! extra elements are accessible and many Honda enthusiasts round. they're low-priced to construct and bypass quickly. The circumvent Neon? by no skill seen everybody mod a circumvent neon. Thats a foul platform to commence off from. once you may want to bypass for a circumvent, then get the SRT4.
