Right about now you may be realizing that all the real excuses you gave to your teachers in school of why you didn't get your work done (though they are very real reasons) are worthless in the real world. There are jobs out there, but they aren't fun or pay well. A big part of life is learning that we live up to all our desisions, and if you didn't get your GED for any reason, even a good one, it still equals no GED and a hard life.

Ok first and foremost do not give up school. If your family needs you to work you can usually find night classes or GED classes or even online classes. Also talk to your school district, they may be able to arrange half day programs so you do not drop out. You will earn much more as a high school graduate than as a person without a diploma. Stores will hire you as a clerk, nursing homes as an aide, you possibly can get work in a factory or from a temp agency to do light factory work.

I would contact your local Social Services. They can help with food and medical and perhaps guide you in the right direction to get a education. They would be in your phone book in the federal or us government listings. or just google social services and your area code.
