The same reason the bible contains plagiarized stories from myths too, I guess. *shrug* Religions have always borrowed from each other.
Though I fail to see how that is necessarily a bad thing or how it fits into your bigoted OMG ALL MUSLIMS ARE EVIL agenda.

It doesn't. Its a common argument a lot of non-Muslims make without even knowing the details of the land/history of that time and without ever reading the details of the Qur'an.
Now obviously, the Qur'an is the word of God.. the SAME God that put down the Bible and Torah.. Muslims just believe the Jews and Christians corrupted/edited/made mistakes with the Holy books.
So obviously, many stories are the same. However, many stories in the Qur'an, offer details not in the Bible or Torah. There are many examples, feel free to email me.
Obviously, there are COUNTLESS anti-islam websites that post all this garbage, skipping facts, biased, putting up faulty arguments. Reading them will waste your time.
Muslims believe God sent Prophets to ALL nations so its no surprise other cultures have similar stories. I mean, all stories in many ways are similar. For example, a natural disaster is many times used as an act of God to punish. Now, just because many people share similarities in the story, does that mean some of them are false or copied stories? No way, logically speaking its perfectly plausible to have similar stories.
Regardless, none of the stories are so similar as to contain the details the Qur'an does. The stories are just parables for us to reflect on.
Don't get caught up in the details. See the beauty of God, and everything else will fall into place.
ONE LAST THING.. Trust me, the non-Muslims of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)'s time were very vehemently against him. They hated him. The biggest argument they put up against was not that he was copying stories (obviously, if he was, everyone would've known of the stories, since he himself didn't travel to India or any of those places, he was an illiterate Arab man). Their biggest argument was that he was a "magician" or a "sorcerer" because they couldn't explain what was going on.

It is not stories for the sake of narration, not like "Lord Of The Rings" for sure, it is about making an example to show what did those people done in their life and how what they have done ended them up in the wrong place.
Authentic means not changed by the hands of those who came after the death of the Prophet Mohammad "Peace Be Upon Him". The deeds of ancient nations is not a "copy righted" material should take the permission to publish it again! So telling for example that the Jews have killed or tried to kill all their prophets will not mean "copying" the story from the Torah. Again telling that Indians worship Cows and Trees and Fire doesn't mean that Quran have copied this from somewhere.
I advise you to reduce drinking alcohol sense it made you ask very stupid questions "thinking" that you have a real brain...Grow up and don't make people have fun or laugh at your dumpiness!

You will see, that the same could be said of the Bible. And neither book exempts itself from accepting the truths found in other religious traditions.
