Even if you tell your dad everything, you don't need to tell him EVERYTHING. I am very close to my Dad and tell him many things that I don't tell even my Mom, but there is aline. You aren't lying to him if you don't tell him, it's not as if you killed someone and aren't telling him, masturbation is a perfecting healthy, normal practice for a young person. Your sexuality is your business, and particularly since masturbation doesn't affect anyone but you, it should only be your business if you so choose. As for information, there are clean sites on the internet that you can go to if you need info:

well why DO you have to tell him?
You dont, so technically you're not going to be lying to him. There are somethings in life you just have to keep to yourself, masturbating is a very personal thing, and only tell him if you are absolutely comfortable and WANT to tell him.

This seems like something you might tell a best friend, but NOT your DAD. I dont think he wants to know.

honestly, I do not think that is some thing you should be speaking with your father about.

Part of growing up, and becoming an adult, is separating yourself a bit from your parents. Its healthy, natural, and important to have some boundaries with them.

Not telling him you are masturbating is not lying, its keeping the relationship healthy.

Your dad does not need to know this about you because it's a very personal thing that tweens and teens need to keep to themselves. Your dad should know that you aren't doing anything wrong if you hate going out in public and if you hardly do so. Please don't tell your dad that for personal reasons!

Some things are best left in private and that is one issue that should remain behind closed doors. If anything mothers should address this issue with a daughter. Everybody does it, and every one knows they do it, so there really needs to be no discussion.

How old are you? There are some things that fathers and daughters just don't talk about. You don't want to know when and how frequent he does it and I am hoping he doesn't tell you. It's natural, there is no need to feel bad.

Why do you feel like you need to tell him this? Don't tell him. That conversation will be so incredibly awkward and uncomfortable for him. He doesn't want to think about his little girl doing those things.

Put it this way, does your father tell you when he masterbates? If yes, that's awkward already. If he doesn't then don't bother sharing that. That kind of a thing I think is meant to be personal.
