I believe they allow other religions but the trick is that they cannot worship the religion openly or build churches etc, they must also pay a head tax for not being muslim and they must scream UNCLE by admitting that muslims and islam is superior... this is designed to humiliate those in other religions to attempt to gain conversions ... sick manipulation brought to you by our friends in the religion of pieces of shiiate muslims!
intelligent muslims are not afraid to debate istead of hate

Saudi Arabia allows people of other religions. Just not Mecca and Madina. These 2 cities are only for worship and should remain pure for worship. Anyway, why bother with these 2 places out of so many places in the world?
Islam doesn't teach you to lie. However, Islam does permit you to lie under some special cases although it is discouraged. For example, do you think it's sinful to lie to your wife when she asks you if she is fat? Is it sinful to lie to an enemy when they ask you where your friends are hiding?

Non-Muslims can live in Saudi Arabia. The other day I met two people, both non-Muslim, who met working in Saudi Arabia in the U.S. Embassy. They met there, fell in love, and got married. Wow, you must be shocked people can do that in Saudi Arabia too. Just a heads up incase you didn't know: people in Saudi Arabia are humans too, just like you and me. If they have a U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia, then it should be obvious that it's not a fact that only Muslims are allowed in the country.
This might be confusing to you, but it's just a thought, use your head and look for facts, NOT opinion.

I would respectfully ask that question as well. I mean no disrespect. I do believe that if everyone took the time to get to know anothers beliefs in the spirit of tolerance, there would be much more peace on the earth.
But in regards to the spirit of tolerance and Islam; if Allah is so merciful, why are there two different standards in the Islamic religion? Why can a Muslim try to convert me to his religion wherever he is; but if I were to try to practice evangelical practices in many Islamic lands, I could be persecuted, or even lose my life?
See the link below on human rights abuses. It's simply one of many.
Edit: Just read Ibrahim's post. Thank you for that informative reply. I am now better informed as to the real reasons. Again, I meant no disrespect. But that truly did have me curious.

Hmm.. how do i put this.. lets just say the Saudis aren't the prime example of Islam. Lets see.. leaders driving around in luxury, spending money on huge palaces while other Muslims lay dying... I think its fair to say theres something wrong with this "Islamic" leadership.
Truth is, Saudi's are from from the 'true' Islamic government. They don't even claim to be.. they call themselves a "monarchy"
Now, last I heard, they DO permit other people within their country to practice their religions... You just can't build a church. it IS strict. Hey man, even as a Muslim, I CAN NOT even step foot in the country (unless I'm going on Hajj or unless I work there).. Talk about limitations. Thats just the way they are, they're extremely isolationist.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the last prophet of Islam, definitely allowed other people to build churches/synagoges, etc to practice their religion. Actually, the Oldest functioning Christian monestary in the whole world exists in the Middle East.. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) gave it a personal promise of protection when the Muslims started expanding.
BELOW, I'VE PASTED a translation of the exact letter Muhammad (pbuh) wrote to the Christians in that region of his time.
“This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
“Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God’s covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).”
