I suppose if it was left lying in the sun on the hottest day of summer, all day long, then maybe a bit of a sensation, but nothing major.

What are you talking about?
I burned a complete copy of a JW bible I had about 8 years ago.
I was on the war path that night, after having a severe arguement with my significant. It took about two hours for it to burn, and I had to keep coming out, and stirring the pages with a poker. But I had plenty of beer, so I did'nt mind.
Eventually, the ashes drifted off into the dark sky, and were carried off by the four winds . . . .

yes, definitely. The Word will burn the lies and impurities of your life right out of you. No one can hide from the truth that is revealed within its pages. When it is read with an open heart it can be life changing. Skeptical? Honestly give it a try. Ask the Lord to reveal himself to you. Read it with the intent of getting to know who Jesus was and the real reason why he was born, died and rose again. The answer is astounding. The answer why actually starts in Genesis 1:1 and continues to unfold throughout the entire bible through to the end of Revelations. God the Father is incredible, His son's name is Jesus and the true followers of His Son are led by His Holy Spirit. May his name be praised forever and ever for what he did for ALL of US. Amen.

If this is indeed a serious question, this sounds like a question of someone freshly out of the occult, who is considering checking out Christianity but is afraid. All I can say is, "dude, your giving the devil way too much credit and WAY overestimating his power."

If that is the case, take a deep breath, consider the scripture "The one who is in me is greater and more powerful than the one who is in the world" and if you are still scared, ask God to protect you so that you don't get burned reading the Bible.

You really don't have anything to be afraid of, unless as others have mentioned, you smoke while reading, take hallucinagenic drugs before reading, or read to close to candles.

Yes. Hold the Bible in one hand, and stick your other hand into a flame. See if you get burned.

If it catches on fire while reading it....yes I guess it's possible.
Try to avoid open flames, candles, or cigarettes when reading and a person should be reasonably safe.

LMAO! :)
