The best before date is October 2, over 2 months ago. The tub has never been opened. Should I toss it?

Toss it! Cheese, yogurt, sour cream and such are good only 7 days past the expiration date.

I would say it would be safe for a couple of days after the experation date, but not 2 months, they have an experation date for a reason
