to feel the moment ... i think if your eyes are open and looking around, you think about what they're seeing, kissing is rather up close, crossing our eyes trying to look at you isn't pretty so there's a glance, but closed eyes is easier. you don't really want us to watch the wall or whatever is behind you just so our eyes are open the whole time.
