These Scientist who go around calling believers "nut cases" are truly not very intellegent. For one thing: Darwin's theory of evolution is exactly that! A theory! I agree to an extent that somethings could have evolved. Like certain plants and animals. But modern day apes and monkeys are nothing like us! and there is no link between us and them. And to make matters worse: They want to believe they know how old the earth is. Carbon Dating is not accurate. And they where not alive back then so, they don't know they can only guess. The theory of a asteroid or comet hitting the earth and causing mass extinction is possible. But I also believe that there is overwhelming evidence that this earth was once entirely covered with water. This could have caused a mass extinction of alot of land animals. In the book of Genesis it is said that the serpent once had legs and walked upright. This could have possibly been at least one type of large reptile.

To say the earth created itself is obsurd! Things don't just create themselves. It is not possible! The most important thing of all that proves that God exists is us! How could we have just accidentally appeared? I don't buy the theory of Human evolution. God created animals for us! Animals keep the balance of nature and keep us fed. Some animals are also meant to be man's companions. Such as Dogs and Cats.

So, before you go and say the Creation Idea is flawed, you need to examine your own! You have no scinetific evidence for your own scientific theories!

Some people refuse to believe the existence of God is because of the following reasons (among others):
1) Lack of deep knowledge.
For example some people treat Darwin's Theory of Evolution as a "fact" whereas it is only a theory which Darwin himself admitted.
2) Dissatisfied with the teaching of their former religion.
Some people convert to become Atheist because they find that the teaching of their former religion is illogical. They don't have the opportunity to receive the logical explanation of the teaching of religion.
3) The believe that only scientific method can explain life and the universe.
They forgot that there are many things that science still cannot explain until now.
4) Influence of the mass media on children.
We can see mass media such as TV series or movies are promoting either directly or indirectly the ideology of "materialism" (this includes the ideology of not believing in the existence of God). It like "Advertisements", the more children see the advertisement on TV everday, the more he/she will incline to believe what he/she saw on the TV.
Do you all remember news about 2 teenagers going out killing someone because they admitted of playing Grand Thief Auto often (hardcore GTA fans) which result in their mind being influnced that it is also fun killing real life person.

By golly, you're absolutely right! The fact that you don't understand the most basic concepts involved in the Theory of Natural Selection really DOES prove the existence of God. And you inability to grasp radio-carbon dating proves that all scientists are liars. But the coup de grace is when you finish off your argument with "This could have possibly been at least one type of large reptile." Boy, that's just the final nail in the coffin of Evolutionists, isn't it. I'm ashamed to think I ever believed in that nonsense, after hearing your overwhelming evidence of God's existence.

Science is a faith much like any religion. To a "true" scientist, only what he can see, feel, taste, smell, and hear is real. Anything else is untestable, therefore unproveable, therefore out of the realm of his reality. A scientist can observe, theorize and test but in the end he must make a conclusion. Sometimes the conclusions are obvious, sometimes they are suggestive, sometimes they are fanciful and completely based on one person's interpretation of the data sample. The problem is the data is never complete and sometimes the right conclusion cannot be made. Also evidence and data can be twisted, whether in science or in religion. "Numbers don't lie... people do."
Everything requires a leap of faith, some greater than others. For one person, the words spoken by a peer hold greater truth than those spoken by an elder. Same goes with science and religion. It is easier for some to believe what they read in a tabloid or a scientific journal than what has been passed down the ages as truth. The reality is that a "true" scientist can only trust in his own intellect and his own perception of reality based on what other "true" scientists have taught him. The problem is that sometimes both those are flawed. One who is color blind won't realize he is until someone else points it out to him.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5,6

Well, i have my own theory to share to you.
You read the Bible, don't you? Well, that book was the one that God give to us, but the book wasn't the only one that God has gaven. The nature, was the another book, that God give it to the other living things in the earth (an outer earth <-maybe). Why? Coz God has His own plan about nature scientific.
Gravity, for example, God create that. I believe that. Coz if there wasn't a gravity, there wn't be a sea, and, there won't be an earth to any kind of His creation to live, include us.
So, the scientist said that no scientific relation between science and religion, that's completely dumb. Coz without God, there were no science at all. So, every scintific theory must be based on God idea.
Darwin said, we are evolution of monkey. 98% similarity between human and modern apes. Well, God said "I give you the 2% so that makes you so special for Me". What is 2%? His spirit, that laid in our heart to day. So, we can call the name/ concept about "GOD" coz He said in our heart "here I am, I was, and I will be still, forever".
Only those who crystalized their heart, that always said "there is no God, (and we are monkeys?)". Hah.
Sorry, I am Indonesian, my English maybe suck. But I tried my best.
Hope this help. Thanks.

Cite your evidence. The world is waiting.
Refute the homologous chromosomes.
Show one paper that used carbon dating for the age of the Earth. There are numerous suitable isotopes.
You have your hypotheses. Show a shred of evidence that could make them theories. If you can't cite your evidence, please recant and acknowlege atheism.

I am a Christian. Even the scientist are now proclaiming that the notion of life happening from nothing is impossible. As wise as we think we are, we cannot create life from nothing. We cannot create life period. They are now saying there had to be intelligent intervention. The once atheist scientist are becoming believers of God Almighty. People who believe otherwise do not think for themselves, they just repeat what they've heard elsewhere like a bunch of parrots. God is real and God is watching us. He is listening to our prayers and doing what God does. God is love in it's purist form. He gave us the ability to reason and to think for ourselves, yet many still are unable to do that simply because they choose not to. I too find it absolutely amazing that so many don't believe.

I've said it before, and no one has yet provided it. Where is all this overwhelming evidence of God's existence? I would be most interested in seeing it.

You have pretty poor examples of overwhelming evidence of "god."
Everyone has their opinions so don't be so quick to call people not intelligent.
