I married an immigrant and brought him into the USA on a fiance visa. We later married. But about 1.5 years into the marriage, he tells me "this is not going to work," and "I want you to help me get my green card to stay in the USA."
I feel betrayed becuase I put my life into making the marriage work. He emotionally abused me, telling me that I was fat
(I am 5'2 and weighed 150 lbs), needed to get a nose job, needed to get my cellulite removed...and that my parents should pay for everything. I cried almost everyday after getting married.
Should he get his green card? Should I help? Should I tell immigration that he did fraud with me? Should I try to make sure that he does not get his geen card?

Move out, get a lawyer, and move on. Do not help him get a green card, but do not try to hinder him either - he will probably be deported unless he has another reason to be in this country without your being involved in it. Every minute you spend responding to him in any way is one less minute you have for yourself - he's not worth the trouble of reporting, especially since he'll most likely get sent back to his home country anyway.
You need to build up your self-confidence after being beaten down mentally like this. Consider counseling, please. But being vindictive will only make you feel worse. You need to get on with the rest of your life and put him and his insults behind you. He has made you feel bad about yourself to make himself seem superior. Don't buy into that crap! You are a worthwhile person, and you can make a good life on your own. All the best!

There is a two year conditional status imposed. A notice for interview will be mailed out to the address of record about 90 days prior to the two years. It is at this interview that any claims of fraud should be presented. Please contact your local constabulary (911) if you are ever physically threatened.

Do not help him get his greencard. If you haven't already had your Adjustment of Status interview, then all you have to do is not show up. He can't go to the interview alone, he would be denied.
Also write to your service center and local USCIS office and have your I-864 Affidavit of Support withdrawn.
If you go through with the interview and allow him to get his greencard, remember you legally bound by the Affidavit of Support for 10 years if your husband can't support himself, even after divorce.

Do not apply for him. Then he will understand how precious you are to him. Dont think with your emotion, think logically. He abuse you, want to divorce you and then want favor from you? NO..do not get him the green card. Do not help him. Be brave....if he says, the marriage is not working out then divorce him without giving his green card. He will loose you and his "golden" green card. He deserves it.

He will never get his green card because the reason for his stay in the US is your being married to him.

I myself married a hispanic but it was for love. If he is abusing you (emotinally) and using you just to do so then you don't need to help him. I'm not saying to turn him into INS just divorce him and let him find another route to citizenship. He doesn't deserve you.

Awe Sarah, I am really so sorry this happened to you!
I would report him for sure, he used you and sounds like abuses you... he came into your life under false pretenses.
