How much do you weigh? I am about 106lbs and I take 3 ibuprofin with water. Sometimes it knocks me out for about 45minutes, but it sure does take away the pain. Tylenol, etc. never works for me. I was once told that the pain is like muscles cramping, and muscles are what ibuprofin works best on. Try it and tell me how it worked for you.

Heat helps! Try putting a heating pad on your stomach for about 20 minutes at a time. Also, try taking something to relieve the cramps like Pamprin, Mydol or Women's Tylenol. All of these are designed to help relieve the pain and bloating from periods.

what people don't know is that you can use more than 200-500 mg of Motrin or ibuprofen---that's just the tip of the pain for me--I take 800mg of ibuprofen every 4-6 hours and i overlap it so that the pain doesn't have a chance to come back before Ive already taken it again---some of us have worse cramps than others--also IF you have someone that you live with preferably your bf or husband you can lay down on the floor and have him put some intense pressure on your lower back and that will help you flow more effectively and also stop the cramping---hope this helps and good luck!

The pill often helps. Another thing that actually helps is plain aspirin. The Aspirin helps to thin the blood making less clots and more free flow. I had endomitritis (horrible pain) and clotted often with blood. The aspirin really helped. I don't have periods anymore and I don't miss them!

Make a cup of hot tea, take 2 ibuprofen, grab a heating pad, recline sipping your tea with the heating pad on your stomach. The warmth (inside & out) will help.

I used to have this too. I saw a doctor (gynecologist) and after many different medications, he put me on the pill - which made all the difference in the world. But, seriously, don't do it without seeing your dr. first.
