I am surprised mostly by the stupidity and ignorance of people

Too thick to be enlightened...
Since I've been here I have seen good people harassed by other good people for "religious" reasons, for being couragous for asking tough questions.
Jealousy at others for turning a phrase better than they can, and for having the nerve to be so insultingly funny than they can, is all I can guess makes others report them so often..
I have seen the question "Is there a GOD?" in at least 5 variations - at least 10 times a day, so people are LOOKING for something. I am not surprised by this.
I have seen mean people poop on too many just for their naivete. When people (level 1) come here looking for REAL help with religious and spiritual issues.
Only they get blasted by a person insulting them for being themselves, this is very sad. (I already know people are terrible - so I am not surprised by any of the rudeness here.)
I am very glad that many have built friendships with each other here. Good solid friendships. I even think a couple met here in R&S and thats amazingly great! They are even different faiths - really! Isn't that cool! So I stand corrected that I am surprised by a few people, happily!
But the rudeness and meanness - no surprise for me.
Thanks for letting me ramble on.
I wish Jim Darwin, Donut, Devilsadvoct, WSIDR and I've got a Ruler, and others were free to be here again. They asked wonderfully insulting questions. Ah well, they may be here? I can never tell who's who!
2007 should be as interesting - I hope to learn more.

Both! I have learned about other beliefs, but I have been surprised and saddened by the negativity that some people have towards others.

I'd have to say the latter. But I have learned a few things about different religions. Not because they were stated here, but because I was just curious and did some research. This site is good for beinging up issues you can read more about on your own.

I'm more surprised than enlightened at the disrespect toward God and the use of this section in general. I'm also surprised at the number of people that have such little knowledge of the Bible that they simply parrot ideas that are quite unscriptural.

No, I watch about two hours of news a day, the real truth tells me what I need to know.

I’m more saddened by all the disrespect that some people show to those they disagree with.

I'd have to say the second one, sadly.

This website makes stereotyping eeriely easy, to a fault.
