A pseudoaneurysm, also known as a false aneurysm, is an outpouching of a blood vessel.

An uncommon but important arterial complication associated with chronic pancreatitis is Pseudoaneurysm formation which may rupture into a hollow viscus and cause G. I. Bleeding [1]. It is known to have very low incidence upto 10% [1, 3]. The most common artery affected by pseudoaneurysm is splenic artery which is involved by almost half of the cases because of its contiguity with pancreas. [1, 2].

So this is a Pseudoaneurysm of the splenic artery with feeds blood to the spleen
