The only kind I've seen are the ones with clips on them that you place in yourself. If you want them to last longer than 1 night, go to the salon to get them put in. You can get them sewn in, glued or bonded. It's based on what you prefer and how much you can afford.

If you have hair on a weft, you can apply them with protac bonding tape. It's real easy! They're sold at http://shrinkies.net and there's an online demo there too.

you can get a switch, which has combs on it that you attach to a ponytail to make it longer, or you can buy hair that is wefted (tracks). with those, you braid your hair in a few cornrowd and then you sew the hair to the braids. if it's done right, nobody will be able to see the weft.

you need a comb,sum glue,

make a part with the comb as straight as possible, then apply a nice amount of glue on the weave not to much and not to little you don't want the extenesion, then press down with your fingures for about 20sec. (repeat steps)
