Our shortsightedness in not having 4-digit years in all our computer files prior to the 1990s will catch up with us. All of the world's electrical infrastructure and electronic control systems will fail disastrously on January 1. The power will be off to tens of millions of homes and businesses. Law enforcement will be unable to function, leading to chaos and anarchy. The plumbing will run backwards, filling the air with poop. The Republican party will railroad the stupidest, most crooked, most inept politician in American history into the White House through an illegal false election. The telephones won't work. Malicious aliens will swoop on the earth in great numbers and probe the anuses of all our children--and we won't be able to stop them. Other terrible things too numerous to list will happen. There is no way to prevent this. THE END CAN'T BE STOPPED!!!!
HELP!!! HORRORS!!! GET THESE GREEN THINGS OFF ME!!! HELP!! I'M FAAaaLLlllingggg....(!)

Ah yes, I remember the days when I was young, and the Apollo missions were still in the future. How we all marveled at the wonders to come in that almost magical future of the year 2000! What a disappointment the real year 2000 was in comparison to all the predictions back in the 1960's!

Im from the future, I can tell you that the Y2K thing is rubbish, everything turns out fine, the economy makes a turn for the worst, bush wins the election, but gore fights. 2000 is a great year compaired to 2001, I cannot tell you what happens, all I can tell you is to look to the skies, and you will see fire.

Robots will do all our work for us, we will have flying cars. Rumours of global warming will come true but it will be a good thing as everyone will enjoy the warmer days. Wars will be outlawed and there will be free energy for all.
