It has to do with safety, not judgment. Hey, if you're against judging people, why don't you let them all live with you?

God's desire to protect life, the home and parental authority are made clear in the four crimes that demand the death penalty (Ex 21:12-17). Got then lists crimes and accidents that demand payment for damages or injury. In every case, the law of retaliation strictly limits the consequence for wrongdoing. The punishment cannot exceed the crime. These restrictions provided a safeguard in the ancient world, where many crimes carried the death penalty and vengeance often extended as far as killing the entire family of a criminal.
It is human nature to wish to inflict more pain than we suffer, and this series of laws was inntened to control this inclination to violence. Eventually Jesus cld his followers to an even higher level of love and forgiveness. (MT 5:38-42)
Basically I think that we should separate them from the rest of the society. (a.k.a the need for prisons.) as for serial killers and killers of anysort. They need to be put to death. I am a christian but I completely support the death penalty in some cases. If you intentionaly take the life of another then your life should also be taken from you.

i think that statement is true to a certain extent, i mean everyone judges people and it's only human nature but judging is judging and we should not go as far as to tell others how we judge him/her and put the "judging" into action for example being mean even though you guys just met. as for pedophiles, serial killers and kleptomaniacs, keep your distance from them. remember what they have once done, but also remember that they could be reformed. remember that everyone deserves a second chance and try to think in their perspective (:
hope that helped.

Big difference between passing moral judgement and locking somebody up for the protection of society.
Unless you are without sin, perhaps you should think seriously whether it is acceptable in your religion to pass judgement on pedophiles and serial killers. But you shouldn't let that stop you from keeping pedophiles away from children, or keeping killers away from people, or keeping kleptos away from the silver.

So, you classify kleptomaniacs with pedophiles and serial killers? I guess you're not judging anyone, at least not too much.

We all sin. Ye without sin cast the first stone. People can still do things wrong, but we can see what they do wrong without judging them. Telling someone, "Stealing is wrong." is different than saying, "I can't stand so and so. He is nothing but a good for nothing thief."
Just like you and me, everyone can find salvation in Jesus. Just look at Son of Sam. He killed lots of people and now, he has dedicated his life to Christ and helps with a very successful prison ministry and brings others to Christ. If someone had judged him and thought he wasn't worth saving, then there would be many in the prison he is in now that may have never known God.

If you can't cross the street by looking both ways you have no judgment and the same applies in reality for people ! Lets not go insane with twisted bible verse that goes against life and reality.

That's one of the many big problems with the fauly morals of the Bible: "Judge not lest ye be judged" is completely untenable. We SHOULD judge pedophiles and serial killers: they ought to rot in a very small, very dark, very quiet cell for the rest of their lives.

You should not judge someone if their actions are not harmful to anyone.
Pedophiles, serial killers, and kleptomaniacs are harmful.
Being gay isn't harmful, no matter how much to try to convince us it is.
