I guess it really depends on the breed and personality. I personally like the name Emma but mainly for a dog of British origins (the name Emma is very British to me for some reason). I have a Beagle that I wished I had thought of naming Emma that is, before I started calling her Jasmine. Congrats on the new puppy!

I am not going to give you names, because I know you won't pick any one of them. You should play with your pup to see it's personality for an hour, and trust me, by then, you'll know it's name. You don't need Yahoo! Answers to tell you what to name your dog because no one giving you answers really knows what your dog is like or how she looks. You'll find a better name for your pup without the internet. I promise.

Have you considered:
Sadie, Bailey, CeeCee, Mimi, or Fallon?
Or
Peaches, Kody, Noelle, or Joy-Joy?
Or
Ella, Pink, Lucy, Ginger, or Valentine?
Or
Coco, Juicy, Ocean, Mary Jane, or Lola?
Or
Bella, Tallulah, Gracey, or Meadow?
Or
Daisy, Rose, Phoebe, or Jade?
Hope these help! Have fun with your new puppy! Pick a cute name!

You should name your dog a short name with only two syllables, and something that doesn't rhyme easily with other common words. This way it is a lot easier on your dog to recognize it's name and understand what you mean.
Just have fun with it!
