Why? I need imput, honest answers from people who are "real" in their faith. I've been told, that Jesus wants us to come to him just as we are. Ok. So that means, if I come as I am, I'm bringing all types of issues and agendas with me. I'm just being honest. Straight up. Open agendas and hidden agendas. More often than not, I barely deal with my issues let alone Christ dealing with my issues? I don't know what to think. I'm getting to the point where I'm actually tired of life. Any thoughts?

You can come to him as you are but you will not leave that way! Lay your burdens down and give them to the one who was born and died to bare them for you....

Jesus will accept you lumps, bumps and all. He knows we're not perfect - never were and never will be. He does want us to try to live like Him. To be kind to others, patient, loving, selfless...

I've been really working on my Christian faith for the past 5 years and daily for over a year. Jesus is where I can turn; that 'soft place to fall'. He's never as hard on me as other people and always forgives. I've got issues, problems, anger, lots of stuff going on.

Matthew 9:12
On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

I say go pick up a copy of The Message or an Amplified bible. They're easy to read and can help you. And of course, pray to Him for help. I found that when I was at my 'brink' 'peak' of problems with severe depression, anxiety, anger and basically coming undone, I realized that 'my way' simply wasn't working. I literally gave up and gave everything to God. I made a deal that I would blindly trust and follow any promptings I felt He directed me. I would let Him lead and trust He would lead me to a better place. Here I am now... over 5 years later.. my depression is managed, I'm happier, not as quick to anger (I still lose my patience with bad drivers) but I'm working on it and trusting in Him.

Good luck & God Bless

Oh and one other thing I heard a church and really love

"God can't steer a parked car".

What you are hearing is absolutely true. I struggled with this for a long time. I refused to give Jesus a chance because I thought I wasn't "holy" enough. I was so messed up in drugs and spent the first 22 years of my life suicidely depressed. I thought God would NEVER accept me. Then, someone told me, Don't fix yourself before coming to God. Go to God and let Him fix you.

I did just that thing. Even after I became a Christian I was still messed up, until he fixed me. Now, I'm 6 years clean and my life is great. I found acceptance in Jesus that I never found anywhere in the world. He loves me unconditionally and He will love you unconditionally too.

I hope that helps.

Mat 11:28-30 Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Christ can deal with ur issues a heck of better job than you can. He's perfect, and ur not. What it means to come just as you are is to express ur heart to Him, and not hold anything back. He knows u better than u know yourself. Yet He loves you more than you could possibly imagine. By the way, God will settle all of your issues alot quicker if you start to Focus on Him more than ur issues your going through. If you just focus on yourself all you will come up with is your own junk, but if u focus on God he will give you his revelation and life. If your tired of life you really need to have an encounter with God. I'll be praying for you, i mean it.

IT APPEARS, that you have the Wrong Ides of JESUS? The Jesus of the WORD, tells you, "Luke 6:46 and Many Other Verses including James 1:22!"

Perhaps you should SPEND SOME SERIOUS TIME in the Word of GOD, and allow HIM TO SPEAK TO YOU - 1Samuel 3:21 and Deuteronomy 29:29.

PERHAPS try reading the Gosple of John one time a day - for 30 days. Take Notes and then Obey what the Word tells you to do?

Go to Jesus as you are. You are powerless over your own life, you can't change yourself. Take all your secrets and agendas and problems to Christ. Take everything, including your faith, and he will change you, form the inside out. Listen to Take Me As I am by Lecrae, it's a real good song that will really help you man.

Coming to Jesus as you are means you don't have to try to clean yourself up first, so that He will accept you. He accepts us as we are because He knows what it is to be human: hopeless and helpless. It doesn't mean He will conform Himself to fit what you want Him to be, or do what you want Him to. He still gets to be God -- because He is, after all. I brought all sorts of issues and agendas with me when I came, and even picked up a few more after I'd come to Him. (I wasn't very bright about some things.....) He will change you as much as you'll let Him. Don't worry: He's perfect and is therefore perfectly trustworthy. You can trust Him with anything because there isn't anything He doesn't already know. Nothing you tell Him, or even think, will surprise Him because He already knows. AND He loves you. You don't have to withhold the ugly things about yourself from God so He'll love you (as if you could; He knows them all already.) Nothing you can do will ever make Him stop loving you. You may not feel loved but that has nothing to do with the reality of God's love. If a blind person can't see the light I turned on, it doesn't mean the light isn't on. It just means he or she can't perceive it. Sometimes we get ourselves so messed up that we can't perceive God's love; you need to know that it's still there anyway. Feelings and perceptions lie all the time. Don't put much stock in them.

I don't know what He's got planned for your life. Maybe you have some idea, maybe not. Get to know Him. Learn to love Him above even yourself. Trust His love for you even when you can't feel it. Please feel free to email me about specifics.

Cast your burdens on Him. His shoulders can carry a lot more than yours.
Yes go to Him with all you are and everything you have inside of you.
You could not hide the issues anyway.
Why deal with the issues yourself?
Help is available.

It means get rid of all of your issues. Turn your life over to God and let him handle these things.

I think Adam above me a little ways said it best.
