I love Luke, because I feel it concentrates more than the others on the level of compassion Christ had for humanity, and that is what intrigues me the most.

He is the Son of God, but He loves us and understands our struggles. This really helps me to get through my day.

I think I need to clarify something. A Gospel is one of the books that testifies to Jesus' life; in other words, Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

I knew the unbeliever's would have a heyday with this...lol.

I enjoy each of them for different reasons. Because of some character study I did as part of my job (I'm an actress) I saw that John was a very interesting person. He was sometimes self-centered, often blind to who Jesus was, he was sometimes petty with others of the disciples, and wasn't always what I would consider a nice person. The good part is: look how God used him! God can take us, whoever and however we are, and use us for His glory and good work, if we are willing to let Him do that. What a wonderful God we have!!

John;
The Book of John is addressed to all the people of the world and reveals the glorious truth of Jesus Christ. The Book of John stands apart from the other three Gospels. Written nearly 30 years after Matthew, Mark and Luke, the purpose of John is dramatically evangelistic. John's language and tone emphasizes the focus of his book. Words such as "believe," "life," "love," "truth," "eternal" and "grace" are used more in the Book of John than in the other three Gospels combined.

Luke is my second favorite. I especially like Ch. 24 about the Road to Emmaus story. It is a piviatol story for our salvation. For me John is my favorite because it is so philosophical and eloquently written. Chapter 1, 3, & 6 are phenomenal.

John is my favorite. He travels a different path, but Love is personified in a personal way from the eternity past to the passion.
