first off, tell your family u want their support but them saying bad things about your weight only makes u want to hide and eat more, change your diet, give up the candy bars for fruit, walk 5-10 mins a day increase to 1 hour a day. then start off running in the spot in your basement or somewhere alone where ppl can't hear u, and work on it. you will susceed , there is this show called the biggest loser and u see them winning cuz of their desire to change and support from home, if u can't get support from home , get a friend or something , and whatever u do don't eat the cafeteria lunches they are full of fat.
hugs =)od luck and if anyone says anything mean in these posts to u or about u rember, there are ppl who are bullys and hate ppl making something of theirselves.=)

There, there, you're still young, sweetheart.
OK, first of all, how tall are you?
If you're 5'0, that is an awesome weight. If you're 4'4, um, not so much.
Check out this site. It calculates your "BMI" (Body Mass Index)
You enter your age, height, weight, and gender.
What Do These Figures Mean?
A child's BMI percentile is a way of showing how his or her measurements compare to kids who are the same gender and age. For example, if a child has a BMI in the 60th percentile, 60% of kids of the same gender and age have a lower BMI.
BMI is not perfect. For example, it's very common for kids to gain weight quickly - and see the BMI go up - during puberty. Your child's doctor can help you figure out whether this weight gain is a normal part of development or whether it's something to be concerned about. If you think your child may be gaining or losing weight too fast, talk to your child's doctor. A child can also have a high BMI because he or she has a large frame or a lot of muscle, not excess fat. By the same token, a person with a small frame may have a normal BMI but might have too much body fat.
Although BMI is not a direct or perfect measure of body fat, a child above the 95th percentile is considered overweight because 95% of the population has a BMI less than he or she does. A child whose BMI is at the 50th percentile is close to the average of the population. A child below the 5th percentile is considered underweight because 95% of the population has a higher BMI.
Also, it's important to look at the BMI numbers as a trend instead of focusing on individual numbers. Any one measurement, taken out of context, might give you the wrong impression of your child's growth. The real value of BMI measurements lies in viewing them as a pattern over time. That allows both doctor and parents to watch the child's growth and determine whether it's normal compared with that of other children the same age. BMI is an important additional tool that can be used as an indicator that your child is growing and developing in a healthy way.

I know how it feels to be overweight at such a young age. I got real heavy as soon as I started going through puberty. Here is what helped me lose a lot of weight when I was your age. First thing is no more soda! Drink a lot of water. You can flavor it with the juice from lemons, limes, or oranges. I know it is hard but try to cut out as much candy as possible, start chewing sugar free gum- Extra has some really good flavors. Cut out fast food, pizza, chips and fatty foods. You don't have to give these things totally up but you can't eat them every day and only in small portions. I know it sounds weird when you are trying to lose weight but you need to eat. Have six small, healthy meals a day. Fresh fruits and vegetables are great to snack on. Then get your body moving. Play extra hard in gym class, walk to and from school if possible, walk around the block a few times, just make sure you move your body every day. I wish you all the luck and you need to remember that you are beautiful know matter what size you are. If you want to lose weight do it for yourself and to be healthy not to make you family happy. Good luck sweetheart!

The best thing you can do is watch what you are eating. Eat about 2600 calories a day. That's on the nutrition label on the side . Don't try to eat anything more than 200 calories and if you do only eat a little bit. Eat meat but make sure it doesn't have a lot of grease...like fast food restaurants...a big mac has about 400 calories. Don't eat that. I am not saying count every single calorie but just estimate. When I was trying to loose weight I limited myself to about 2000 calories. I was never hungry but i went from a medium-large to a small- x-small. Exercising would also help too. I played a lot of tennis which really helped!

I understand what you're going through. I have a cousin who is the same age as you and is a little overweight. Her parents always talk about it and she cries all the time. I know this isn't right, and I'm always there for her to console her. So, know that you're not alone.
Loosing weight is not easy, especially at a young age. It is hard to stick to a plan and can really crush you emotionally. It is also a long process and starving is NOT a solution. Start by demanding from your parents to buy healthy food with lots of fruit and vegetables. They are responsible for your eating ways as well, so they sould NOT make fun of you. Tell them that and stand up for yourself! At the same time, ask your parents to sign you up for a sport that you might really enjoy. This way, exercise will be fun and won't feel like a chore. Lastly, don't try any of the celeb diets! They don't work. Hope this helped and good luck! Cheer up, please! :-)

Honey, I feel for you! I was about 100 lbs then too, and I went through such a tough time from my mom.
Remember: your body is still growing! It's normal for girls to go through periods where they're heavier or thinner than usual, and it takes a while for their height to catch up! Please, just don't worry about it if you're excersizing and eating normally. If you don't excersize, try dancing, swimming, or just walking around the neighborhood with your friends and parents. If you're worried about eating too much junk food, ease back slowly. Only have dessert a few nights a week, and treat salty, fatty foods as treats, not daily nessecities.
Now I'm in high school and a healthy size 2. I never went on a diet.
Don't worry, and keep going! As long as you're healthy, that's all that matters.

Look. I have a similar problem. I tell my mom I hate my weight and then she brings it up when I'm in a good mood.
1. do u eat breakfast? this is the most important meal of the day. It's a known fact that if you don't eat breakfast u will gain weight insted of losing it.
2. is your breakfast healthy? Try and eat as healthy as possible (example: eat fruit, healthy cereal or hot cereal)
3. Try and avoid cafeteria food it has a lot of fats, sugars, and carbs. Insted pack healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, and healthy snacks. Avoid anything that has a lot fats, sugars, and carbs.
I hope you follow my advice and lose some weight like I did.

I don't think you should worry about it- 1. you are due for a growth spurt at any time. 2. your family needs to be understanding 3.if you really do have a weight problem, learn how to eat right. I lost 20 pounds when I cut candy and soda from my diet. healthy food can be good. and of course find an excercise that you enjoy and do it often. hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your family sounds very mean , They should be encouraging you to feel good about yourself instead of making fun of you,
That should be incentive enough to start a little regimine of your own. Start by eating a healthy breakfast. cut out all snacking and soda. drink plenty of water and lots of fruits and vegies. take a little walk after school and you will soon see a big difference. But do this for yourself. not because someone else wants you too. Your to young anyway to start feeling self concience about your body. I have a grandaughter in 4th grade she's average height and weighs about 82 lbs. She loves to eat, but she also loves sports and plays all of them, basketball, softball, soccer, this not only keeps the weight off but is good for her self confidence. Have your mom sign you up for one of these if your interested. And after this question is answered for you get off the internet, you way to young to be up this late. very dangerous what your doing.
