My rule is the one who asks is the one who pays. It's the polite thing to do. Definitely at least offer to pay. If you grab the check and he says "No, I'll get it," ask if he's sure, and if he says "yes," then let him pay, but be gracious about it. Do not just expect him to pay without even offering; that's just rude.

If you ask, be prepared to pay. You may not have to. He may offer to pay or to go dutch. If he does great. If he asks if you are paying you could even suggest going dutch. But, if you ask him out, you need to be okay with paying and not expect him to ante up.

no but you can offer to if that's what you want to do.. most likely though he'll tell you no and pay for the two of yous instead...

of course yes.That's why you should cut a coat according to your size.If you don't have money don't ask people out because they might be as broke as you are.
