Some Christians, or just pro-life people (not all, don't want to be accused of generalizing) can say that an abortion is wrong, even if done to save the mother's life, and still think that the death penalty is ok? Or, think that war is ok? Don't use the whole babies are innocent thing, because the bible says we are all born sinners. I mean you think it's ok to kill someone for a crime they may or may not have commited, or let kids die in a war they have no part of, but not for a woman to have an abortion. (I am only talking about extreme cases here ie rape, incest, and health complications). Please explain. I am not judging you, just asking you to make me see this any other way except for to use the word hypocritical.

What always get me is that a lot of the pro-lifers are the same people who are against teaching birth control methods to teenagers. Shooting themselves in the foot, they are.

I agree with you that some people don't make any sense. Someone the other day said "Abort the mother, not the baby". Crazy people who bomb abortion clinics aren't really showing that they believe murder is wrong. All I keep hearing is that the babies are innocent so I'm not sure how anyone can explain without using that word.

They take on causes that make them feel comfortable. They like to join in with a group hysteria. So if their church and their reverand and their friends found something else, no matter how petty and contradictory, they would hop on the bandwagon to feel part of something.

It was put this way on the Colbert Report, "Christians are great at telling you when you can be born and when you can die. They just aren't all that great at the stuff in between."
