Is it okay for me to dye my hair black if my natural hair color is dark brown? My current hair color, however, is a light-brown, almost orange color, thanks to the sun during the summer! I have pale skin, and dont want to come across as goth. Should I go for black hair or dark brown?

i would go for dark brown, but if u have been dyeing your hair alot spend the extra $ and get a good moisteriser, like vo5 hot oil and get your hair back to feeling good. too much changing color and sun can be bad for your hair and it might come out all dry and bristley. take care and good luck
l'oreal is good for dyeing hair, ask the lady that works in the beauty /cosmetics for the color, best suited for what u want to dye it to.its easy to guess a number but we can't see your hair color to get it perfect.

Dark brown is just as striking as black, but a little warmer and not so gothy or obviously fake. If you want to be a little more dramatic you could go for a cherry or burgundy toned dark brown.
I have very pale olive toned skin and medium brown hair. I occasionally dye my hair dark brown, it makes my skin look clearer and my eyes brighter. I can wear more dramatic makeup as well!
Why don't you try a semipermanent dye just to make sure you like the colour?

Other than Indians, I don't think Caucasians have truly black hair. If your skin is pale, the black will not look natural, probably Gothic
Why don't you try different wigs to see how you like the colors?

I'd think it really depends on how you pull it off.
If you're pale, black will look very dramatic, I'd imagine.
Personally, I'm not a fan of dyed black hair. It looks unnatural on a lot of people. But that's just a personal thing.
Chances are you already know what you want to do. :)

it depends on your skin color. if you're really pale, i suggest dark brown. if you're somewhat tan, either dark brown or black would be okay, and if you're dark, then i suggest black.
you have pale skin, so i suggest dark brown.
