theres this guy that goes to my church and he is a good christian and a great friend!
BUT online, he answers back slow and they are fairly short answers [he says he is just hanging around, so he isn't busy.] but in real life he talks a TON, blushes, and flirts even.
im his first single girl in his top friends, but he never comments me back.
hes always there to listen to me and help me.
he also tries to innocently touch me [like brushing his hand against mine, holding something so his hand is on top of mine and stuff like that] but thats only in real life...
in real life, he starts ALL the conversations, but online, i start all of them?
he just acts so much different online than he does in real life... and i don't get why! because hes never busy, always bored, and stuff like that

I can relate! A guy friend of mine hates responding to my emails. He would much rather speak to me face to face where you do not risk being misunderstood. That can happen alot online. Just like some people don't like talking on the phone, maybe he just isn't all for online chating! It is sometimes hard to tell what people mean and sometimes may come accross rude when they are joking. Maybe he doesn't want to risk that with you! That could be a very sweet choice!

It could be that he is busy online. Or, it could be that he just communicates differently online. Whatever the reason, it's better that he's attentive to you in person. It would be worse if it was the other way around. In any case, try not to get too caught up until you find out what the cause is... if you really care to begin with. Good luck.

maybe he is drunk
he hears you though and knows what you are saying I think
maybe way more than you think too
those brushing conversations are REALLY nice sometimes when its right
it doesn't matter who starts the conversations
maybe he has a really good job under the table or something
Maybe he is very bust with his new job and all the responsibilities and
maybe he trying to get a PHD too
maybe just an honorary one but it still takes effort anyway
hes just very busy mostly

I think you should be happy he is more open to you in real life...it makes it more real, dont you think??
Real and actual friends usually are like that online...my friends and I are like that...we dont have anything to talk about online because we've talked about everything when we last saw each other.
Some people are online to only surf, email friends or read stuff and not have time or interest in chatting.

It is hard to say why someone is different in person. If he still lives at home there is the posibility that he has a rotten home life or that his parents monitor what he does and says on line. I think you should just ask him face to face , tell him that you are confused. That is the only one that can truly answer your question.

Well he's apparently using the internet to meet and speak to different girls. He apparently knows he has you in the real life seeing as he flirts with you and all these other things. But like all guys do he's going to play the field and see where he stands out there when it comes to different types of females and maybe he thinks it's easier for him to conctact them via the internet.

hmmmmmm its hard to say that for man but always men like to find stable woman and hard to get her in life or in other way some guys get bored if u have serious feeling just keep it for him and try to make it in real and
if u find that all crap and u was only dreaming and he is just some one u know him forget it and start again
real life is most intersting and in internet there are many of good people and there alot of bad but who know

Well for one he like to talk and flirt face to face. ANd that's a good thing not very many boys will do that. ANd besides it's better to get to know each other face to face not thru IM. ANd he will be a man's man when he grows up and if you want to be the one on his arm, I will tell you to go for it now or be left behind.

No way! That's so weird. The same thing is happening to me! I think it's normal. Guys just don't really know how to convey their emotions online and I don't think they realize how they come off. If they're trying to say like "im not doing anything" to us girls it sounds like they're bored with the convorsation we're having. But I think to them it's more like "not much is going on so I can talk to you"...guys are weird but It's normal

Being online is so impersonal. Just enjoy him when you are with him. Some people are just not good on messenger or on the phone. Sounds like you two have a good thing going keep it up!
