I think you were trying to make a valid point. Why is our government making it illegal to kill poor and innocent babies, when they support, fund, and operate wars were children, including newborns are slaughtered? It is hipocritical.
I think these people missed your point. To me, you were trying to point out the negativity that goes on in the world.
People see the world in terms of white and black. White is good. Black is bad. White=not abortions and no wars. Black= having an abortion and having wars.
People get so passionate about their views, that they are blind to the fact that the world operates in shades of gray. This is known as relatavistic thinking. The world will never operate just the way we want it to, because there are others wanting it to operate in the exact opposite manner.
I think you were trying to make a valid point. Why is our government making it illegal to kill poor and innocent babies, when they support, fund, and operate wars were children, including newborns are slaughtered? It is hipocritical.
Personally, abortion is not for me. But since I am able to view the world in the shade of gray that it is, I am freed of carrying the burdon of anger towards those who do have an abortion. That's a large load to carry, it will affect my health both mentally and physiologically (what we do to our mind stresses our bodies).
There are shades of gray, but as humans, our passionate nature gets in the way of us seeing that. Yes, in a perfect world, there would be no abortions or war. But, being a realist, guess what? It is not a perfect world.
Try not to take their flaming you to harshly. They missed your point due to their fly from the seat of their pants attitide/passions. They know not enough self control to have stopped and thought about what you trully meant. I would give you my e-mail address here so you could write to me, but am fearful of doing so, because then they would all flame me.
I would really reccomned that people here begin to search the internet and look at the actual pictures of the war. Also, youtube has a horrid video on the death of a 7 month old baby and her entire family who were just civillians. Execution style in their own home at night. Icluding the infant. Be prepared for sad pictures of that baby
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0YnjQzobHw
These people did nothing wrong.
................................
***note that chapelite only reported US combatants that died in iraq... She did not tell how many civillians of iraq were killed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQDsyoNwRkY
this msnbc reports that 650,000 have died***
................................
Lastly I strongly encourage people to research the war more than just watching the t.v. Check out european newspapers. See the side of the war that American networks are not telling you about. Its scary. But we need to know.
see the difference: our kids in america. happy. safe. free. Iraq kids. Tortured. mutilated. killed:

Hi sabrinal, There are arguments that can be made for either side... but i think what we can know about God we know thorugh His Word the Bible. A lot of times the answer is not clear- but we can infer an answer based on what we do know about God based on what he teaches: 1) He is a loving God. 2) He is a just God. 3) He is a merciful God. In other words- the Bible doesn't clearly say - but we know however God decides - it will be just, loving, and good. There is one passage in the OT (1 Samuel) where David is running away from Saul and David asks God what will happen if David goes to such and such a city and God tells him Saul will kill him - so he goes elsewhere to stay safe. That passage kind of reveals to us that God is able to know the future- so it's very much possible that if aborted/miscarried babies don't go to heaven that it is because God knows the future. But really the Bible doesn't clearly say- so all opinions are conjecture but we have to see what it is we know about God when we consider questions that God's word does not give us a clear answer. Hope that helps. Kindly, Nickster

The difference is that the "babies" that grow up and die in war CHOSE their profession. There is no draft now. There hasn't been one in 31 years. And unless Charlie Rangel (D-NY) gets his way, there won't be one anytime soon.
Babies who are aborted have no choices. (Even when their mom is pro-choice)
And let's compare casualty figures...in 2003, Planned Parenthood reports there were 1.3 million abortions in the U.S.
US combat deaths in Iraq from 2003-present only total 2881.
In fact, I did the math. Using the 1.3 million in 2003 alone as a baseline, I then went back to the casualty figures for ALL of the wars the US has fought.
After subtracting all the combat deaths (including the North & the South in the Civil War), we still had 158,944 more abortions in 2003, than ALL combat deaths in U.S. History, from the Revolution to present. How's that for an eye-opener?
And you DARE compare abortion deaths to combat deaths? Amazing.

Yes. You have it right.
About 1.5 million innocent babies were slaughtered in this country last year, while about 1,000 soldiers died in Iraq ... and at least they had training and equipment with which to defend themselves.
There's nothing lower or more evil than a mother killing her own preborn child, especially with the approval and assistance of a government which was originally formed to safeguard the human right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness ... for all.
Abortion is 100% evil, and it is always wrong.
There was a time when all people instinctively knew this.
Wake up!

Going to war and taking the chance that they will die, is their choice. The babies have no choice in abortion.

why go as far as dying in war, start with = letting babies be born to be placed in foster homes, or homes where there is abuse, drugs, where they're left to die because they're not cared for and starved or beaten to death. you're not drafted into war, these helpless kids are born into hard situations with no choice

Abortion is wrong because the child doesn't have a choice in the matter. And war is by choice. You don't have to be in the military. It's their choice. (whereas being murdered before they've even been born is not)

The United States military is all voluntary so he who joins takes that chance .
And war is another way to help with the population.
