My doctor put me on it because I was breaking out in hives whenever I would get the slightest bit of stress (we're talking making the grocery list would make me break out.) I took it for about a week and it made me nausious which made me think I was pregnate which made me break out more.

If it works or not? I don't know, I just used clariton for the hives instead BUT:

Don't take it on an empty stomcah!

It is an antidepressant. I take it and it "smooths the edges." I am still the person I was befor, I just no longer have highs or lows. It makes life more manageable.
