Probably 4-5 days at most for me.

If you ever get the chance, watch the movie called "The Machinist". It's about a guy who has traumatic memories and goes one year without sleeping. he lives on coffee and cigarettes and gets as skinny as a toothpick. The movie really messed with my mind.

Only a couple days...I really need sleep to keep going. I do have a friend of mine who's a bit of an insomniac and doesn't sleep for weeks at a time.

I've heard after 72 hours without sleep a person will start showing psychotic behavior. Truly.

You can go about 40 hours before you start having some significant problems such as memory difficulty, impaired reflexes, questionable judgment, and possibly hallucinations.

Not very long - ever see the movie "Insomnia?" You can die from lack of sleep.
