no there isnt a way to make it appear smaller. and yes she is the professional, it is better for healing. it is larger to accomidate the swelling. atfer abotu 2 weeks after most of the swellign has gone down (i think 2 weeks, but you should call her and ask when you can go back in to get it downsized)

you can get a smaller piece of jewelry put in BY THE PIERCER! since its still healing. after the swelling goes down! .

just keep cleanign it for now and call them sometime soon to see when a good time to downsize would be =)
goodluck

you shouldnt put an concealor or RED LIP STIcK (lol) on it. you should keep the area clean and ry so your piercing can heal correctly without any problems! if you put make up or anythign on it it will only make it harder for the discharge to pass through leading to a potential infection...

also just stick to your cleanign regimes. no rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or neosporin. just the aftercare pierce solution, an anti bacterial soap liek dail, and the SEA SALT SoaKS the most importatn one! just stick to hose and youll be fine!

alcohols and oinmetns kills thegood tissue., it is more iekley to scar, causes a longer healing duration, and can cause an infection..

wow you got a lot of idiot responses.
The reason why is for the first few weeks each night your lip will swell up every night as it's trying to heal from the trauma of the piercing. So the bigger the piece the more room it has to swell. Wait 2 months then switch it out with something that you like. It's best for it to heal completly though.
BTW...F everyone that said something negative...they can keep living in their little box "like everyone else"

I dont know why all these people are saying such horrible things about piercings and tattoos. its not the work of the devil. its a show of artform. so shutup. If you dont have a positive worthful opinion about the question. dont answer.. but I would say just keep it in til it heals and put a smaller one in it. the hole will shink to fit the ring you choose.

She probably put the larger ring in so it would be easier to clean. When you have a smaller ring it is harder to clean and rotate. Just give it about 4 wks and then have it changed. Just stick w/it.

I have mine done, and I didn't like the big bars they use, I got me a nose stud, with a 20G wire, used a cross sticth needle, sterilized it, then went to it, it is healing nicely, no pain, no yukkers.

I use 'Chloraseptic to clean it.
you know the throat spray- it is an antiseptic.

There is a shortage of beautiful lips in this world. I don't know why women do such horrible things like this to them.

why would anyone disfigure their natural body for a fashion statement. You must really dislike yourself to go thru such an ordeal to look like somebody else

>Yes, remove it and let the lip heal. That way you stand a chance of not being disfigured all your life.<

Why not try buying a smaller one?
