No abortion is not wrong if people can have sex and create a live they should have the right to get rid of it before its to late, would you rather have mothers drowning their kids in the bath tub, or a young women having an abortion that would only effect her.

You may say well they shouldn't of had sex, and this is the consequence for doing it but mistakes do happen and their are ways to fix them. If a woman is even thinking of having an abortion then she should bc that means they probably wont be a good mother.

You may say what about adoption, and I say yes it is the last option but not all children get adopted and if you don't want to see them again then what is the differences. Would you rather have a kid and just forget about it and let it go thought the system, not knowing what its going though or what has happened to it. or have an abortion and let your mind be at ease.

Aslo why should you care what anyone eles does with their body.

Of course abortion is wrong! Anyone who says it isn't is simply rationalizing. Those who say it's "just a medical procedure" should be reminded that the Nazi doctor, Josef Mengele's horrific experiments on the innocent people--many of them children--who were locked up in Nazi concentration camps were "just medical procedures," too.

Aside from the right-to-life question, the latest scientific studies have shown that a fetus can feel pain by 18-20 weeks gestation, and possibly sooner. Have any of you who believe abortion is a woman's right ever researched the various types of abortion procedures and what they do to the fetus before death? If not, you should. When you find out how inhumane abortion is, you just might change your mind. The question we might ask ourselves is: Are we becoming the "Josef Mengeles" of America?

Aside from all of the above, no one has a right to decide whether or not an unborn child--even before the age of "viability"--should live. That is not our place. According to biologists, a single cell is a living organism, so from the moment of conception a zygote (pre-embryo) is alive. The value of that life is not dependent upon whether or not it is capable of survival outside the womb.

We are not allowed to murder our children AFTER birth, no matter how difficult our lives--or theirs--may be. We have no more right to do so BEFORE birth than AFTER. We only do so because we CAN. And it's a terrible, terrible shame!

Even as an Atheist I'm not a big fan of abortion, and I think that any rational person has to accept that at some point it's murder plain and simple. Once the child can realistically, emphasis on realistically, survive outside the womb I think you have to consider it murder without question. For the first couple of months the fetus is very small in size and very undeveloped and it has always been my opinion that if abortion is going to be done it should be done in first two months, maybe three. If a decision cannot be made in 60 days then it shouldn't be made at all. That said I would never support the freaks out in front of abortion clinics hurling epithets at young women who already have enough to deal with,in fact when I see those people I honestly want to rip their heads off. Someday, some way we have to find a compromise. I also think if we would shake loose the shackles of our puritan heritage, which has never brought us anything good,we could probably solve the problem since we could finally talk honestly about sex without bringing a bunch of useless dogma into the equation. Then maybe our kids who once they reach puberty are biologically meant to be sexual creatures could get some real education and practice better sexual habits without having to sneak around and get bad info from outside sources. But parents don't like to accept the fact that while they are telling their 14 year old daughter nothing about sex but to wait her body is essentially telling her to get pregnant, that's nature, and without good info she will end up doing exactly that getting pregnant. We really are the cause of our own grief over things like this.

to me all the pro-choice arguments are weak. ill state the pro-choice theory then my argument against it...

"its just a zygote, no more then cancer cells, not a human":
well actually its a human zygote. there are 46 chromosomes that make us human and the second the sperm and egg are combined the 'zygote' has those exact 46 chromes that make us human.
"Three things make us human persons: the ability to think, a moral sense, and our physical appearance. The zygote exhibits none of these.”:
So your saying that 'people' like Hitler were not human because he had no morals? Bush isn't human because (according to some people) he lacks common thinking abilities? Thats the same as; 1) walking into a mental ward and saying anyone that thinks its morally right to kill themselves or others are no longer human (yea that‘ll help the crazies get saner); 2)going in to a brain trauma unit and saying your going to kick anyone that can't count to10 any more out of the hospital bc there’s no animals allowed in a human hospital except for seeing eye dogs; 3) or going to a amputee and saying that anyone that doesn’t have 2 legs, 2 arms, and 10 toes & fingers are now officially snakes or deformed lizards.

“It’s the woman’s body, not the governments”:
well if you followed my above statement that the 46 chromosomes that makes that little bugger in your tummy a human, killing it not in self defense or fear of your life means you killed a human being for no reason which is murder. I do believe the gov’t gets a say in murder don’t they? (rhetorical question, don’t bother)

"why should a person thats raped or subjected to incest have to have a child":
several reasons against this one...
1) only about 1% of real rape victims get pregnant(i say real rape bc in states where you can only get an abortion bc of rape all you have to do is say it was rape and no one investigates the rape, they just sign a paper and off to the butcher you go)
2) only about another 6% get pregnant thru incest
3) adoption
4) for those that say adoption is a fluke - If from the very beginning of pregnancy you contact an agency your child will be adopted. there are people on waiting lists for as long as five years that wait for a woman thats pregnant and will have the baby so it can be adopted. The adoptive parents will often pay for your housing, food, and doctors visits as well.

"would you put a 12 or 14 year old girl thru this?":
yes. women have menstruations as an effect of puberty for a reason, its their body telling them that they can bare children. if the body couldn't handle it she wouldn't have gotten her period yet. And of course the adoption argument from above.
“You are ignoring the part where a girl is emotionally ready at a young age“:
Emotions don't count or the women getting abortions wouldn't be getting abortions after they see ultrasounds of the children’s emotions as they’re moving away from the needles or struggling to swim away & survive after the doctor uses that salt solution or cuts off limbs.

no money to have the child:
single women can get welfare if they have a child, not to mention that almost all pro-life organizations have money from charities that will help single mothers. and lets not for get the adoption argument from above.

Of course I have medical exceptions that may kill the mother and baby like cardiac disease of grade III or IV, severe kidney disease, severe (especially uncontrolled) Type I diabetes, that type of thing. It is more common (though rare) for an unpredictable complication of pregnancy to occur which could be life-threatening, such as eclampsia or HELLP syndrome. These aren't predictable though, and hopefully with good prenatal care will never happen.

I think it depends on the reason. Sometimes it is more compassionate not to bring a child into a bad situation. Going through a pregnancy and giving up a child for adoption is not always socially acceptable either. What if the person is already married wit a couple of kids. Would their family understand that they wanted to give the third child away because they simply couldn't afford more children and their birth control failed? Or a young woman just about to start college on a scholarship? Or a woman in an abusive relationship? Don't judge others until you have been in that situation. Not everything is so black and white.

I believe abortion is wrong also but i also think that it should be the women's choice what to do with her body! That's why we should urge people to use birth control to prevent unwanted babies and abortions. Maybe if our society would change the way they think about birth control there wouldn't be that many abortions. Which is better, having a baby and giving them a bad life or not having a baby at all? I think not having a baby at all is best, that way it wont suffer but there is no reason why a person should kill an innocent baby!!!!!!!!! That is why i am for using birth control!

when my mum was raped .... fell pregnant .. ran away with her own two children and the rapists two children to a place of saftey .. had no clothes food or belonging.. had an abortion with me as a 7 year old as the only person to support her when she nearly died ....
i can honestly say .... sometimes abortions are not wrong
each case must be looked at individually and sometimes it is the most difficult and soul destroying choice anyone has to make

There are a number of valid reasons why it should be permitted. Medical, ethical among others. One thing that's never mentioned is that the majority of people against abortion(for any reason) are the religious people, who claim that life is precious. These same people intentionally ignore the ever rising death toll from religion killing which has now exceeded over 100 million. When it comes to the killing for God, life's less precious because you don't hear a peep from the same people. The mother must decide no one else.

I believe Abortion is wrong. Under some circumstances, such as rape, or to save the life of the mother, I believe in it. But other than that, I'm pro-life all the way.

Abortion is not wrong, it is a medical procedure. It is like saying that we can't have flu shots because it kills bactiera that causes the flu. Also most of the time it is only killing cells, which EVERYONE does by scratching or walking. Also Abortion is very close to natural misscarrages, in logic, that would mean you would illigaize misscarrages, which are natural. Also I would like to point out that it should be the mothers choice. It is her mind, her body and her soul. Not someone elses. Oh, I forgot to say that animals have abortions all the time just not like you would think. Male lions, when they take over a pride they will kill the cubs of the previous male. Abortion IS and Always will be a fact of nature. Weather the Bible says anything or not. Many don't understand what an Abortion really is and how it is actually done. IT IS A MEDICAL PROCEDURE AND SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE. ALSO GET MORE SEX EDU IN SCHOOLS AND WE WON'T HAVE THE NEED FOR THIS!!!!!!!!
