If not, why not? Are we more sinful than the people in the Bible? If we are not more sinful then why would He talk to them and not to us?

Maybe, maybe not. But one thing I know is.. people in the past had more faith in God than people in the present.

I don't hear an audible voice - but when I read the Bible, I do have guidance and direction that I interpret as God's "voice". (do you know what I mean?)

I also believe He bestows us with wisdom when we ask - and that is a form of his "voice".
I think we are as sinful as in early Bible times - but with God all sin is sin - there is more or less sinful as He is a holy sinless God. If we listen, He will speak to us - even if it's not audible.

No He doesn't. He talks in a small, still voice called the Holy Spirit.

Only the insane hear things that aren't there.
As for hearing the voice of something that doesn't exist? Insane.
