Hemorrhoids are painful, swollen veins in the lower portion of the rectum or anus.
This condition is very common, especially during pregnancy and after childbirth. Hemorrhoids result from increased pressure in the veins of the anus. The pressure causes the veins to bulge and expand, making them painful, particularly when you are sitting.
Internal hemorrhoids occur just inside the anus, at the beginning of the rectum. External hemorrhoids occur at the anal opening and may hang outside the anus.
Symptoms -
Symptoms of hemorrhoids include:
1. Anal itching
2. Anal ache or pain, especially while sitting
3. Bright red blood on toilet tissue, stool, or in the toilet bowl
4. Pain during bowel movements
5. One or more hard tender lumps near the anus
For reduce itching -
1. Wear cotton undergarments.
2. Avoid toilet tissue with perfumes or colors.
3. Try not to scratch the area.
The most common cause is straining during bowel movements. Hemorrhoids may result from constipation, sitting for long periods of time, and anal infections. In some cases they may be caused by other diseases, such as liver cirrhosis.

Hemorrhoids are blood vessels around your anus that are overfilled with blood. They can be broken down into two types, internal and external, with the sphincter being the halfway point. Internal ones don't hurt, and you wouldn't know they are there until they rupture. External ones are very painful. They can be caused by a number of things, such as pregnancy or cirrhosis to name a couple, and are fairly easily treatable.

little inflamed veins in your 'anus' u can
have one or many, spicy hot food can]
irritate them, and they can bleed, that is
why rectal exams are so important, esp.
over age 40 , never ignore rectal bleeding,
they can also cause pain on b.m's and itch
like no end. There are otc prdst. to help
alleviate the irritation, but not much else.
