I believe your height has more to do with genetics coupled with overall nutrition rather than just one mineral, such as calcium.

Soy milk is better for the environment, lower in fat, higher in protein and produces a lighter texture in quiches and other products in which you would usually use milk as an ingredient.

I like it, and buy different varieties for cooking, drinking and my breakfast granola. Also, your tongue doesn't feel like it's been coated in fat after you drink it!

I completely agree with morgorond's answer, but I wanted to add something to it. Too much soy in your diet can be harmful. Soy beans contain a natural hormone that can seriously screw with your thyroid gland if you consume too much. So, while I think it's a great alternative to cow's milk, you really have to watch how much soy you introduce to your diet.

Honestly, goat's milk is so much healthier for you. It has a lot of the same components as human breast milk, and it was made for smaller animals to consume, as opposed to cows that weigh multiple hundreds of pounds. Maybe check out some goat's milk along with some soy milk and see which one you like better!

See in case you'll discover organic and organic milk at your food market. some human beings swear by organic and organic uncooked milk. even with the undeniable fact that uncooked milk is unpasteurized, so there is an chance that it may contain some volatile micro organism. i'd dodge soy milk (as well as different soy products) as well. P.S. to membership soda: only because phytoestrogens come from flora does no longer mean they can't influence human beings. Heavy intake of soy products by pregnant moms is suitable with beginning defects in boys (which incorporates a mis-formed penis) and early puberty in women. i have study that some jap women human beings feed soy to their husbands to shrink their libidos. Soy isn't in advantageous condition for human intake.

Soy milk is an OK alternative for vegetarians. Cow's milk is much more nutritious (calcium, Vitamin D, lactose).

I like soy milk in my lattes since it gives the coffee a nutty flavor.

I'm sure it is very healthy, good for the environment and even politically correct. However, I've given it the old college try several times and each time I'm reminded how nasty it tastes.

Definitely give it a try before you buy too much.
