Would men cry to you, begging you to take them back saying they love you? Or is it a form of manipulation?

Broke up with me for a day, I got back with him.

Broke up with me again, went out with ex for a week. Hated it, and all of a sudden realizes he loves me. I say no.

Goes and has sex with ex. I find out accidently. Says it was a mistake, and he only did it cause he had no hope for us, and that it wouldn't have happened had we been together. Cries, begs.

Says he will change, which I have my doubts about.

Manipulation and spinelessness.

I believe it honestly depends on the women or even the person (men can be just the same for manipulation). Women are naturally more emotional than men (but it doesn't get them the right to manipulate purposefully). Many women are naturally sensitive, or may have been raised in such a way that conflict was handled quite negatively, thus being a sort of trigger for strong emotions. On the other side, some girls use this knowledge to their advantage to get what they want... whether it be for attention, sex, etc... some sort of gain, knowing well that they have "won". These girls often were raised to believe that is their only way to succeed. Do not think I am dismissing inappropriate behaviours and motives, but there are so many things to take into consideration answering this question. Personality, experience, the family environment, conflicting images in society, etc... Again, this applies to both genders, like how men use intimidation, superiority, humour or other ways to get out of things... it's all back to the individual. There are no straight and certain answers to this.

A little more information would be helpful (like does this happen a lot, why did you break up in the first place, etc). It can be they are honestly sorry and want you back. But I absolutely think they use it to manipulate girls sometimes, guilting them into taking them back. Sometimes running away and staying away is better.

Get the heck out.....I had an ex who did that almost as if it were a hobby, to me. After a while I began to EXPECT REJECTION, as if it were a part of a normal relationship. Now that I am (greatfully) out, when I have a crush on a guy, I expect him to reject me; I almost see it justifiable. (Im getting help for that. Im definitley starting to feel differently.)

It depends on what they did for you to leave him. Some guys that are abusive cry and say they will never do it again but always do.
