my uncle teases me?

Question

whenever i don't do something right my uncle( who lives in the same house as me) will tease me. I know he has problems.
one time when i lost my math hmwk, my uncle said: TAMARA, STOP BEING A CRYBABY!" and when i forgot to feed my dog , he said: " Nooo Max(that's my dog), I am not neglecting you, am I?"
That day i got the courage to tell him off. I said: " Uncle Pat, I know you're teasing me, but it's not working!" He just was like:" I didn't do nothing, and speed-walked to his room!
I don't know what to do?! I've told my parents and they know, but i can't reall know if they've done anything! What do i do?

We argue a lot, and he lies to everyone!

Well, getting him to speed walk to his room is pretty good. Most bullies (that's what he's doing) are paper tigers and if you snap back at him telling him in no uncertain terms that he's being childish and disrespectful, I think you'll get him on the run. Don't let anyone do what he's doing to you. Go get him girl!!!

I think your uncle is probably wanting to fit in and doesn't know how to go about it, -obviously. Some people just do not have social skills and they think teasing is a way to fit them in. You should not have to endure his negative remarks. In a quiet calm manner, when the subject is about something else you could casually mention that you realize he might be teasing but that you take it to heart and you would appreciate it if he would grow a heart and try to understand. Then, if it continues, try to put some space between you and he and have a serious heart to heart talk with your parents in private. Best of luck.
