Yes, I know one. I am one. I think your question is the stupidest question I've come across by far. And yes, I am a Christian. Of course homosexuals didn't choose to be homosexuals. I mean, maybe some did, but most didn't. I know I wasn't born this way, but I definately didn't choose to be this way. Go do some research, buddy, and try not to offend people while your at it. And whoever wrote the comment above me I seriously suggest you shut your mouth because you have no clue as to what you are talking about. You're not gay so you wouldn't know whether we chose to be this way or not. If you don't have any knowledge whatsoever on a topic be silent until you learn. And, yes, you can be a Christian and be struggling with homosexuality. Just because it's not accepted by society doesn't mean that it's more of a sin than lying, stealing, murder, and such. A sin is a sin and instead of criticising those who commit it, you should try to do what Jesus would do and try to help them.

I'm not Christian(I mostly straddle on the line of Deist) but I do personally know some homosexuals. Both of them, one gay, the other one a lesbian, were really nice and great people to be around. I never asked them that quesiton, though, because I think that such a thing would've alienated them. But they were both really good people. Before them, I was kind of a homophobe. Now, I'm really divided on the issue. But I don't necessarily think they made conscious choice to alienate their families in a form that loud. I don't think it was a choice.

I think we all know that one of the lies the enemy perpetuates is that people didn't choose to be that way..that's how they were made. How untrue everything that is, in life there are choices to make.

Yes I have known homosexuals ....as acquitances...not as hanging buddies. Some of my cousins have called themselves gay and lived that lifestyle. They say they are saved, but everyone does not have the truth...and they really don't know...We go to totally different churches and denominations. Although I don't think it's about denomination but rather if you are receiving the truth of the Gospel. They don't know that those are spirits that effect their thinking and bring about that "gay" behavior. It's an entrapment of the mind. But they all say it's not their choice..that's how they were made. Such a lie from the pits of hell.

I had a dear friend who died several years ago who was gay... and even though I never approved of his lifestyle, and he knew that, I loved him and miss him every single day of my life. I did ask Donald once about that, and he felt that in his case, he fell into that lifestyle as opposed to being homosexual from the start. He had run away from home at 15, and fell in with a crowd who allowed him to be and do whatever he wanted to be or do. In this particular situation, I agree with his assesment of his choices. I don't think he would have been gay had he been in a different atmosphere during very formative years in his life and developing sexuality. I loved him anyway. Still do.

yes i know quite a few, one is one of my dearest friends. since i'm assuming you've never asked the question, i'll give you the asnwer.... it's usually a question back -- do you really think i would CHOOSE this life style?! do you really think i wouldn't rather be happily married and not stigmatized by the masses!?

i do believe that some people are predestined to be gay. while they choose to live against the teachings that they shoudln't be sexually active, but rather live a celabit lifestyle as the bible teaches. we can't ignore the fact that since the action of lying with someone of the same sex is wrong -it does/did exist. we have given it a name and those we love have given it a face.

i also firmly believe that there are those that DO choose the lifestyle either to be different, as an escape or as an "in your face" type of attitude. they are the people that give those who are gay a bad name and stereotype. most "homosexuals" do not throw their sexuality in peoples faces. you would generally not even know who they were until you befriended them and they opened up to you.

I know a lot of young people who are gay. I wouldn’t go up to somebody and ask the question but they talk pretty candidly with me about various topics and it does come up. I have never talked to any gay person who said they just decided to become gay.

They don't have to, says so in the bible. Well, okay, it doesn't exactly say that sexuality is a choice anywhere in the bible, but it does sort of suggest in a couple of places that it's a sin. At least, having gay sex is a sin, and homosexuals often have gay sex, or so I'm told. And certainly God wouldn't make people want to do something sinful. So they must have chosen to do it on their own. So, if you read the bible, make the correct interpretations, and then work out all the logic exactly like I just did, it's a no brainer that homosexuals must have chosen their sinful lifestyle because they hate God. Why bother to actually talk to anyone when it's so obvious what the answer is?

Yes, I know several.
They all say that they did not choose their sexuality.

They also say they are uncomfortable with it because of their chosen faith.

Both sexuality and faith are fulfilling, yet they derive more comfort day to day from their faith than from their sexuality.

Yes, I know gays, and No, I haven't asked them whether it's a choice or not, because it doesn't matter. What and who people do in their bedrooms is no body's business, so long as it's consentual.
