If that were true then Syria's President Assad would be cooperating in every way possible to the UN probe into the murder. He's not. There is good reason why. He and his government is the main suspect.

I'm a firm believer people like to put things on the CIA and other US government agencies that don't belong there. I don't think the USA went after Rafik. Mossad is not to be toyed with. If your sending suicide bombers into their borders or kidnapping their people you better watch your back. I think it's more likely one of the Islamic extremest didn't feel he was extreme in line with their cause. They said suicide car bomb which would suggest the extreme Islamic side. They are saying out of Syria but no one has claimed it. Mossad would blow someone up but not in the suicide fashion. And they will assassinate someone. Who can blame them? I can only imagine how rough it is over there. I would get tired of it after a few years and this has been going on forever. One of the headlines yesterday said that Hezbollah vows to bring an end to US backed Lebanon government. I think it is starting to come out. Whoever did it is gonna make a move for their cause sooner or later, ya just gotta watch for em'.
