What ever things or situation happened, currently happening, and will be happening are all His will. Even at the moment I typed this answer, it is His will that I be able to type this answer other wise I could have or had a heart attack or fell asleep while typing etc. All the things that are happening are all His will or He has the approval for these things to happen. He is in control of all the things happening. He is too or far too complex for us Humans to understand. Every thing or all the things are calculated from the begining to the end. That is why He is the Alpha and Omega.
Or If you mean what He wants from us, He wants us to want Him for He made us gave us life (spirit), love and obey Him thru the 10 Commandments. This is the main covenant between Him and Man. But first we should accept Yahshua Messiah as our savior and sacrificed for our sins. Be baptize and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

There are two keys for knowing God's will for a given situation (1) Make sure what you are asking for or considering doing is not something the Bible forbids. (2) Make sure what you are asking for or are considering doing will glorify God and help you grow spiritually. If these two things are true and God still is not giving you what you are asking – then it is likely not God’s will for you to have what you are asking for. Or, perhaps you just need to wait a while longer for it. Knowing God’s will is sometimes difficult. People want God to basically tell them what to do – where to work, where to live, who to marry, etc. Romans 12:2 tells us, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will. "How do you know what God’s will is for you? If you are walking closely with the Lord and truly desiring His will for your life – God will place His desires on your heart. The key is wanting God’s will, not your own. “Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). If the Bible does not speak against it, and it can genuinely benefit you spiritually - then the Bible gives you the "permission" to make decisions and to follow your heart.

How do we know that there is a will, or that there even exists a god, let alone a god that could have a will? The short answer is: we don't.

1 Tim.2:4:"....whose[Jehovah's] will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth".
Jesus himself said:"My food is for me to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work".
And Jesus did.As he had a thorough and accurate knowledge of God's word,he frequently quoted from the Hebrew Scriptures. His three and a half year ministry was spent in preaching and teaching the people about God and His Heavenly Kingdom.
1 Peter2:21 tells us that Jesus "left us a model to follow his steps closely".
So if it is that God's will is that "all sorts of people be saved and come to an accurate knowledge"and we are admonished to "follow his [Jesus']steps closely".It is quite apparent that God's will involves us in taking in accurate Bible knowledge and then preaching and teaching others as Jesus did.
This is exactly what Jehovah's Witnesses do.We recognize the command Jesus left his disciples before his ascension into heaven, found at Matt.28:19,20 where Jesus instructed his disciples to "go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.......teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you."
We recognize the urgency of the times and if people are to be saved, then there must be those willing to go thereforth and teach and preach. - this is God's will.

Pray that God will lead in your life and then pray about the decisions you need to make. God closes and opens doors in my life all the time the point is to listen and not butt your head against a closed door.

Someone said Gods will for us, is what our will for us is. What do we want for ourselves?
Whether we believe it or not, we all get exactly what we want!
If we want a hot lover, that's what we get. But that lover didn't get hot staying true to one person.
If a persons whole desire for the day is to get a couple pieces of crack, and a
6-pack of beer. That's all he'll get!
Some say, "Yeah, I guess I wanted to loose my job?" Well, how many times did he sit on the end of the bed, wishing he didn't have to go to work?
Now he doesn't have to go to work!
Things that you go HMMMMM!

Jesus made this point very clear. He stated that he had come to do the will of the Father and they asked what is the Fathers will that we can do it also and he answered and said "and this is the will of him that sent me that everyone who sees the Son and believes on him may have everlasting life and I will raise him up on the last day" he further stated when he again said that he had come to do the fathers will and when asked he replied "the Fathers will is that you believe on him whom he hath sent" (himself/Jesus) The will of God for all men everywhere is that they believe on Jesus Christ.

You will know when it is time. When God builds you up, forms you in his hand like clay, taking you through experiences so you'll have the knowledge and understanding to do what it is he wants you to do:)
