I am in the same situation. Instead of just leaving, give them a time frame. Tell them you enjoyed being there and would like to visit, but need your own space. You like living out on your own. Tell them that sometime after Christmas you would like to move out. They can't expect your temporary move to last forever. At least wait until after the holidays and tell them so they can "get prepared" Yes, they may be upset, but they'll understand too. It's your family. Good luck!

You moved your life because your sister had a baby you must be a great aunt, to move back will be tough are you ready for that maybe you will be depressed too when you move back. It will take a while for anyone to adjust to new surroundings bear with it a while before you make another rash decision.

If your that unhappy move back to where you came from, you can still be a good aunt without living with your family. plenty of aunt and uncle live apart from there family and maintain an active role in there nieces and nephews lives.
