I had the same idea at one time so I used henna. It builds up and makes your hair ... rough.

If you are not trying to cover gray try Loving Care semi-permanent hair color. It is very gentle.

Permanent color does damage you hair. Each hair has overlapping scales . To dye the hair chemicals are used to rough those scales up so the color can soak in. Thus you get the damage. Most hair colors today also include conditioners to help smooth those scales back down and improve the condition of your hair. Today's permanent color is not as damaging as it used to be.

One more thing if you are currently using henna wait at least 6 weeks before you switch to any other colorant for your hair. You can get some really weird colors if you don't. Been there done that.

Just because Henna is "natural" doesn't mean it is better. Ask a cosmetologist. AFter you've used Henna on your hair, you are limited to what you can do to your hair. Chemicals will not deposit color properly on henna treated hair. Hair color can damage your hair, but a high quality product should leave your hair in fine condition. It's bleach that does the real damage. Not everything that is natural is good for you. Arsenic is natural also.

Hair color doesn't harm your hair if it is temporary, not permanent. Actually, it is full of conditioners. My hair feels thicker and fuller with color on it. It brightens the color and adds so much shine.

You probably need to have all the henna out first.

I love Clairol Natural instincts. It lasts through 28 shampoos and lots of natural colors to choose from.

the least damage to your hair will be done by using a semi-permanent professional color that you would go to a hair salon for. part of the damage is getting the wrong color or shade which can easily happen if you are not a professional hairstylist. ive seen people use nondamaging products but get a bad looking color then receive way more damage by having it corrected.

semi permanent professionl hair color only deposits color it doesnt lift your natural color first like a permanent color does. semi permanent color usually makes your hair shinier which makes it look healthier also.

the only drawback with semi permanent hair color is you can only go darker or change the tone of the color. you cannont go lighter.

two of the best brand names of semi permanent color that i have used personally are: Logics Imprints and Matrix ColorSync.

there are 2 issues you may comprehend approximately henna then you're waiting to flow. #a million get the organic hanne that's supplied in a eco-friendly powder type, don't get processed henna which has chemical compounds. #2 as quickly as you placed henna on your hair whether that's a organic conditioner and coats, protects your hair, you may no longer placed a dye over it. vice versa is okay you may placed henna on colored hair assuming you waiter a minimum of two weeks for the colour to bathe out. you may dilute the henna with espresso or crimson or black tea, you may upload an egg for conditioning you may upload a sprint bid of paprika basically a sprint to no longer burn ur head, the end result would be a coca cola coloration on your hair. you ought to use it as quickly as a month in case you like, purely be certain which you do conceal your face and palms in any different case they are going to be orange for some days. henna is substantial in case you already know the thank you to apply it and to no longer placed coloration over your hair in case you dealt with it with henna i advise you ought to could wait a protracted time till the henna died hair grows out.
