Consider the reason for Mary being called "blessed." Was it anything she did or didn't do? Or was it just the blessing of having a perfect child, who would love her, be obedient, be an example of perfection and cheerfulness always, and who would be watched over by all of Heaven? Every woman dreamed of such a privilege and blessing. Yes, she was blessed.

I say, yes I do. Of course. By the way, it is not a command, that sentence, but a prediction, that all generations will call her blessed--they have and will. It may also imply that we should honor and respect her, and we should.
But that verse in no way says that we should bow down to her, pray to her, place faith in her for grace and help and answered prayer, and give her equal time or more in worship and prayer services to that which we give to God the Father and Jesus Christ.
She is a wonderful person, a unique lady and a hero of the faith and Christian history, but she is not God.

Yes. I would call her blessed. I believe that she was an amazing woman, and God found her worthy to be the mother of the Savior.

Yes, she was blessed. I have never heard anyone dispute that fact. I would not say that this verse means she should be called the Mother of God, or extrapolate from it that she can hear our prayers or for that matter, answer them.

The word used is makarizo it means happy or fortunate, "All generations will call me fortunate"

It is the same word Jesus uses in the Beatitudes
Blessed (happy/fortunate) are the the peacemakers.

You can not use that word to exalt Mary, because Jesus uses the same word about all His followers. We are equal with Mary all we are all sinners saved by grace.

What a godly young women who was highly favored indeed. She was still a sinner and needed a Savior like anyone else and is not a mediator as is clear from the Word but she is to be honored.

Mary acknowledges her low position in life before she is chosen to be the mother of Jesus.

Mary is referred to as the blessed virgin, and so she is. She became the vessel God used to deliver His only begotten Son into this world. As a virgin she was undefiled. As mother to Jesus she is blessed forever.

The desire of every Jewish woman was to bring Messiah into the world. God has given her the desire of her heart.
