I would never criticize the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16

I did a great deal of open-minded and searching research during a phase of major seeking. I needed to question all my conditioning (what I was taught) to overcome the racism and other negative stuff I was taught. During that process, I also questioned and did major research on my religion (Christianity), looking for answers that for decades went unanswered because every adult I asked would respond with 'I think too much' or 'God works in mysterious ways' or 'Its not for us to question'. At the end of it, I found that the gospels and the letters from paul are NOT God's word -- there were MANY interpretations of Jesus' message and a group of people arbitrarily chose the most popular interpretation and made it the 4 gospels. Then Paul's letters made it in because he was such a strong and influential personality. The real message of Jesus/God was completely changed. Think about it: if this WERE the case, wouldn't you at least want to be open to it instead of wanting to be right because our egos feel safer that way? Wouldn't you want to know what God REALLY said?

A. No one has ever proven that ANY god exists.
B. No one has proven that your god in particular exists.
C. Ergo, no one has proven that, even if your god might exist, that the bible is the word of that god.

Would you buy a car with no proof that it even exists? Why build a life that way?

Maybe in a case of homosexuality being wrong, I'd interpret it differently... but idk, maybe because people want to look cool? I hate it when kids my age try to act like the bible and religion sucks just to look cool. It's like "being wiccan or an athiest isn't cool"
