Some good answers here.

I believe that medical marijuana should be available by prescription to women having incredible cramps or endometriosis.... but failing that I would like to suggest that you begin to do something today towards your next period.

Make one small lifestyle change each day. You probably know the ones that you need to make, so I won't harp, but if you use the following as a check-list, it might help some:

(1)Nutrition: Put in fresh, ripe, organic, raw veggies and fruit and take out the 'white, processed' sugars, starches and transfatty acids, caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, and pharmaceutical drugs. Lessen animal products in your life, and if you must use them, make sure they are organic and free of additives.

(2)Exercise: Do something you enjoy on a regular basis.

(3)Water: drink pure, filtered water.

(4)Sunshine: get some everyday (that means get outside)

(5)Temperance: Practice balance and discipline

(6) Air: Breathe, girl (something you can be doing while you are currently in pain is doing some diaphragm breathing....)

(7)Rest: Sleep the hours you need to sleep every night... every hour in the evening before midnight=2 hours after midnight, so it is a good idea to go to bed earlier if you are stressed or sleep-deprived. Night shifts play havoc with our health.

(8)Trust in God or a Higher Power. Aim to develop that spiritual part of your life.

All the best!

Some exercise will help - nothing too vigorous - maybe a long walk.

Supplementing your diet with zinc and calcium has been found to reduce cramps, bloating, and related PMS symptoms.

Herbal remedies such as Viburnum prunifolium, Scutellaria spp., and Cimicifuga raemosa have an antispasmodic effect that may reduce some menstrual cramps. Other useful herbs include cramp bark, squaw vine, unicorn root, bromelain, evening primrose oil, and blue cohosh.

Try taking a warm bath and using aromatherapy or using a heating pad on your lower abdomen or back. If you don't have a heating pad, a heating pad can be made by filling a sock with rice and heating it in the microwave. Heat seems to be the best solution for me. A hot water bottle or a heating pad can help.

These links have additional suggestions.

Dong Quai or female ginseng

This solution is not an immediate solution as you need to build up the herb in your body (about a month) before you get the full effects. It is a tonic herb and you must take a dose daily (even when you are not having menstrual cramps) Dosages will be listed on the package. You should be able to find it at a health food store or nutritional supplements store. It is also available on-line.

Just google search: Dong Quai

As a side note it also is very effective at combating teenage acne.
And lastly check with your doctor if you have any doubts.

I hope that youv'e gone to see a Doctor about this pain there are many reasons for it one is endometriosis and it can cause alot of pain, if you catch it early enough they can really help you to get rid of it. But in the meantime take good old aspirin and put a hot water bottle on your abdomen and raise your legs (remember to bend them at the knees though). Another thing is to go on birth control pills they often have an effect that helps lessen cramps and pain for many women. It's really to bad you can't take Ibu it really does work the best for this type of pain, but aspirin is also an antinflamatory so it should reduce the pain. One other thing take the aspirin right at the first sign of your cycle it will really make a difference. Good luck to you.

He could also have a stone blocking the urine flow, and this is urgent. Has he urinated lately, that you know of? Take him to the vet, right away. If he had no antibiotics, he probably needs them. Crystals in the urine mean there could be stones, or an infection. Call, right away. Emergency vets can be found if your normal vet is not open. The vomiting, along with the other symptoms means he is VERY sick. Call the emergency vet. The little extra money you spend, now, might save you money, later, as well as a potential hospital stay. Many vets will write a prescription for antibiotics you can take to the pharmacy and get them through a free antibiotic program.

Lots of water.

This might sound weird but eat some meat. You need iron and protien because you are losing blood. This helps rebuild cells around your endometrium.

Dont take asprin or ibuprofen, that makes your blood thinner, and you will lose more.

Get some rest, and put a heat pad, or something warm on your belly.

There is this tea I dont know if you can find it, its called Uratic,
its a mix of licorice, horse-tail root, urvi usa, cloves.

Good fruit to nibble on when your on your period are pamagranets, and apples. Nothing acidic.

Warm milk with vanilla this can help you sleep.

be easy on sugar less than 1tsp, so you can sleep and your not awake all night.

This could be cause due to improper movement of the lumbar spine (low back), or pelvis. This is most likely caused from muscular contractions during your period. If the joints of this area are not motioning properly they can cause a number of problems. Chiropractic is your best bet for proper treatment. A good chiropractor will be able to correct this problem very easily and safely.

The Lancet, the world’s leading general medical journal, and the British Medical Journal published this randomized study of chiropractic and hospital out patient treatment. The study used 741 patients. They noted the study “showed a strong and clear advantage for patients with chiropractic.”

It is also great that you are not taking medications for this as they can be very dangerous!

American Association for Cancer Research
NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) such as advil, motrin, aleve, ibuprofen, naproxen, ect. taken for 6 months doubles a persons chances of heart attack, stroke, or other heart related problem. “NSAID users were dying at twice the rate of nonusers.” Ibuprofen users were 3 times likely to die of cardiovascular problems.

Journal of the National Institute of Cancer published a research study done on 114,460 women that showed women who take ibuprofen for 5 yrs are 50% more likely to develop breast cancer and women who take aprin for 5 yrs are 80% more likely to develop breast cancer.

Raspberry leaf tea (health food store) has been used for hundreds of years to relieve discomfort. Also taking calcium/magnesium supplements will help. And strangely, if you lie on your stomach the weight of your body may help the spasms of the muscles subside (spasming muscles can be causing the pain) - it will feel horrid at first but it can help. I used to think I was going to die from the pain - and all the above helped me live. Also, the other advice about eating meat, using heating pads and drinking more water are excellent advice.

A heating pad on low setting sometimes helps, also peppermint tea might help. One herbal remedy used in Mexico is to boil dried parsley flakes to make a strong tea, and sip on it throughout the day-this is specifically for menstrual cramps.

Bad cramps run in my family (6 sisters) and would put me out of commission at least one day a month. Talk to your doctor about the possiblity of going on birth control pills. They help a lot of women with cramps. In the meantime, hot water bottles, heating pads, a bottle of wine, a cup of hot tea....all of these can help your muscles relax.
